Does anyone else think Face Sculpting sucks???
I honestly feel like I'm going insane right now; I see nothing but praise for the Face Sculptor and this post is more of a rant or cry for help than anything.

But does anyone agree with me that the Face Sculptor sucks ass?

Like sure it's good for people who know 3D Modelling or can at least draw, sure, but I can't and straight-up REFUSE to drag these node points around to mold my PC's face.

So, Skyrim, right? Almost all of that Character Editor was sliders. Most games have character editors that use sliders. Sliders are good. I really enjoy using sliders and dialling in to what I think looks good using a scale of 0-100.

I can find NOTHING that gives me ANYTHING close to this. Everyone's either talking about LookMenu which DOESN'T have sliders for vanilla characters, or lamenting that RaceMenu doesn't exist for FO4.

Like I just want little slide bars I can use to make my PC's eyebrows go up and down, in (angry) or out (sad), apart or close, etc. etc.

Am I alone in this opinion? I wanted to pick this game back up again but this is hitting me so hard and frustrating me to hair-pulling levels. I really don't want to just use a Preset but I think that's all I can do with little tweaks.

Like didn't we already solve this problem??? We have a defined standard, and it's not even included; you must sculpt via dragging a face around a la Mario 64.

Its a little funky and takes a bit to get used to, but in the end, who is going to be looking at your characters face besides you? I just use a generic face and change the hair.

Yeah true, and I ended up doing that too. I was really frustrated at the time of writing, and am still disappointed that I don't have the talent per say to mold my guy to how I want him to look, but you're completely right.

I also hate it. It seems like the more I move the face around the more alien they look.

I'm convinced though that the longer you stare at something the more likely it is to look wrong.

What's worse is that Bethesda's face gen in general is still horrible. Like NPC's have zero facial expressions. Your companions are only capable of expressing anything through the work of the voice actors while your character stares at you with that same blank stare.

And what's with Piper's teeth?

And what's with Piper's teeth?

And McCready's holy crap. There's a mod that fixes them lol.
