If you have a higher resolution or higher ghz as cheshirm says, you need to wait or use ini tweaks or a mod fix.
What resolution ARE YOU TRYING to use?
What are your system specs? Please go to the top of your steam library window, click HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION and post the whole list.
The only way to get fallout 4 to work is either to set my desktop res to match the games and set my hertz to match the game. Any other game does this for you.
You haven't been playing PC games very long, have you.
Use the available mods and ini tweaks and enjoy your game. Your superultrawide screen is not normal in any way (not even recent gaming) so please stop trying to lay this on bethesda developers 10 years ago to be able to predict the future.
In all seriousness, get into your control panel on Windows,and-or your graphics card's control-panel,and make a setup for Fallout 4. I do it for every game I've got. That way the system knows to dial things back for certain games, and how far.
Also: 'Of course it 'breaks the game'!' Only a _very_ modern game would _maybe_ be able to run at that rate...but not for long. Modern games are coded poorly, compared to the older games. (can't believe I bothered to post on this one...)
Your electric bill must suck.
These fixes are ridiculously simple and in the time you've been whinging here you could have been playing had you just *followed some simple instructions*.
A. Google it.
Found the answer in 15 seconds.
You jealous plebs have no experience with superultra & ultrawide screens. Usually an unsupported game will launch with the correct res & place black bars, you don't have to go digging around in ini files.
