You cannot progress in that story, because you aren't welcome among the Railroad any more. Danse is their enemy, he CANNOT go there. Just like if you brought X688 there.
I guess there is no way to leave the brotherhood for now (and rejoin later)
There is a thing known as the Point of No Return where you MUST decide which to ally permanently with and permanently make enemies of the other major factions. (MM is neutral.)
But the thing that CAN tip that balance is bringing the wrong companion into the RR.

From what I see in the Creation Kit, it looks like Deacon uses the dialogue about selling them out when you're sent by the Brotherhood to kill off the Railroad. Specifically, when you've started Tactical Thinking and enter the Railroad HQ after speaking about it to Lancer-Captain Kells.
EDIT: Or looking at it again, the trigger for the event node seems to be entering any location other than the Prydwen after talking to Kells. Either way, don't talk to Kells if you've started Tactical Thinking.
This time I'm already on the way to RR and want to play some quests for them, before I even think about to meet Danse or enter the Prydwen after Fort Hagen.
You can start Tactical Thinking just fine, since it begins automatically when you finish Blind Betrayal to sort out things with Danse, but going to speak to Kells about it puts you past the point of no return.
Any of the non-faction companions plus Deacon should be fine visiting the RR. Danse is a no-go. You should be able to run through the different faction stories up to The Point Of No Return that way.
The conversation with Deacon before clearing out Switchboard is pretty educational from a RP standpoint if you take the RR path. Basically it's "don't watch what the other factions say, but watch what they do" to know whether they are worth getting involved with. Obviously the Institute and RR are diametrically opposed. The Brotherhood is not really RR friendly either since they are rabid about controlling tech, but it's not as obvious early in the story. If you're going full RR ending then you'll only want to pursue the Brotherhood line so far.
There's something weird going on in this case, since it sounds like the OP is getting dialogue for a quest stage they haven't actually done yet (apparently not being even near Blind Betrayal), unless they've been playing around with mods or console commands.
the earliest point i am aware of taking him as a companion is after reunions and taking a vertibird to the prydwen.
