Emergent Behavior is behaving badly.

Finish the quest, Dangerous Minds. Curie's robot body is with me and she get's excited and moves toward Dr. Amari. I begin the dialogue as I would normally and have 20 times before in other playthroughs. Curie leaves and hangs out with Amari for the next 24 hours. Time passes, a message shows up top left of screen that the caretaker has shown up and then, crash.
I loaded back quite a few saves, started all over again and waited upstairs in the memory den for 24 hours, same thing, crash. I reloaded and moved downstairs where the caretaker (Glory) shows up with the synth that robot Curie transfers into, set the queststage for Glory to show up with the synth, I get a quick glimpse of Glory, then crashes again, but I saw no synth with her.
I tried spawning synth Curies and even placing them at me with every possible refID Curie in to the game, but the only one that shows up if at all is the robot. Moveto player or refid.placeatme 1 doesn't even spawn the synth Curie at all. It literally isn't in the game. Something is broken or bugged. Not sure what to do.

It's a known bug that Amari will have 24 hours worth of waiting even if the caretaker comes there. But the crashing says something else is wrong.

Do you have *literally any* mods?

Did you modify Curie's robot body at all? Do you have her marked as Protected? Do you have any mods affecting Glory specifically?

Yep. Have a whoooole lot of mods. Have used the same for a while. Never affected the quest before. I'm assuming it's Start Me Up Redux. Started a new character with that mod disabled. I'll know in a day or so if that mod is to blame. It rewrites a whole slew of script and changes multiple character interactions. It's the only thing I can deduce that's caused the issue. I ran Buffout 4 and though it's specific in displaying errors, it didn't show exactly what mod caused it. Going to keep updating this thread as long as I have the issue... and no. I didn't modify anything regarding Curie or Glory. I thought it may have been my Institute Weapon Overhaul, considering it gives Glory a new weapon altogether, but the crash still happened after I disabled that mod and deleted the possibly corrupted saves and waited for the quest to progress again to the spot it crashed before.

Yeah start me up is very well known to break pretty much everything in its path, so it's likely that as a primary culprit.

Yep. Haven't gotten back to Curie yet, but working on it. Taking my time to make sure things are done in order accordingly to activate questlines properly.

To this day I have not been able to get that quest done but I think it's always been something weird on my install, so ... hope for the best for you.

Having major issues with the game period now. lol.. Game starts and I get to the prompt, press any button to continue, I click, it loads the main menu with the Red Rocket in the background and within maybe 8 seconds, game crashes. Tryn'a figure this out mang. *sigh

Updated drivers, removed latest mods, adjusted load order etc. I've read that people with no mods have the same issue to.

Are you on windows 11? Is it possible that your system updated and is now messing with the game? Been known to happen frequently enough on 11 and I recall having seen something recently about an update?

Nah. Haven't upgraded to Windows 11 yet. Not sure I'm interested. No longer having the crashes and seems all's well with Curie too. She's now in her body and a companion. All issues have just... worked themselves out it would seem.
