though, vortex and mod manager should be able to simply queue up your downloads and finish them one after another.
I mean, the 3mb/s would be kinda "fine", I could live with that... BUT
If for example I want to Download a "Collection" that has all the Mods already in it, I have to MANUALLY Download every single Mod by Hand by clicking on the Link it gives me in the Vortex Modmanager, this Link then leads me to the Vortex Website and then I have to manually Download the Mod.
Theres no way im doing that for ~500 Mods.....
There has to be another way (besides paying Premium, that aint gonna happen)
The one im trying to Download is like a complete overhaul of the Game itself and is around 70GB and roughly around 500 Mods. And Vortex wants me to either spend Money for Premium or Download all of those Mods 1 by 1.
Vortex is probably the better choice if you can get used to the UI.
Personally I hate Vortex's UI and use an old version of NMM instead which still works.
Manually downloading is something We All Have To Do. Premium is Not Worth it.
NMM will no longer Connect to the Nexus data base either so updating mods and getting mod info will not work.
The slower download speed is inconsequential unless your downloading 600Mb+ which you just sit and wait for
Yea, Premium defenitelly not worth it, aint no way im paying Money for this.
But am I getting this right, if for example I want to Download a FULL Collections Pack like this for example ( https://next.nexusmods.com/fallout4/collections/5atq9t ), you're telling me that I have to MANUALLY Download all of those 500+ Mods?
I thought there would be like a "1-Click" or something if they even made a fcking Program for it.
Nope. They don't do that. A "curator" throws every single mod in there to have a large collection, and some of the mods he's thrown in don't work, and others aren't compatible with mods you already have. The collection is just so the curator can see his name on the websites. Most are very poor quality
No idea, I just installed some Mods I want, im fine.
One last Question: Is the HD Mod worth it?
The ONLY collections anyone should ever download are ones that come with guides to load order, settings, and such. That means the curator actually has tested and set up those mods and know they work together.
I have premium for Nexus because I bought the lifetime when it was on sale a few years ago.
The best mods seem to be the ones where the authors are proud of their work and bother to write an informative description section. Plus a lot of the really good stuff is to found elsewhere e.g. personal websites, afkmods, discords, blogs etc.
Whats Wrye Bash?
Yea, figured that one out aswell ... Chose couple of Mods that look nice and give some nice Gameplay Changes / Benefits and im now installing them Manually... But yeah, fck Vortex ... Takes forever since they thought it would be a nice Idea to cap the DL Rate.
Idiots.
Nice, thanks. I will defenitelly look into it.
