How do I recruit Rylee the Trader?

Do I need a certain perk or rank in charisma? Went through the small talk dialogue and she just asks me if I want to trade afterwards.

she can also be a tad buggy, like many of the level 4 merchants. Go inside, listen to the conversation. Go outside and talk to her, talk about the sickness, vault suit, etc then ask her to work for you, etc. Fast travel to your settlement, wait a day make sure she shows up like she is suppose to do.

if she does, go back to the cannery and kill the guy inside, his quest can break her working for you. Then go loot the cannery if you want.

The cannery quest has issues where it will remove Rylee physically from your settlement (although she stills counts as being there.) I think it has something to do with moving her for a scene and never putting her back. This usually happens because you take the cannery quest and then go outside to hire her.

Similar to the way Dr Sun gets left in the Megasurgery in Diamond City.

What I would do is is create a save before entering the Cannery. Go inside complete the cannery quest and then go outside and see if you can recruit her. Recruiting Rylee after the cannery quest should not have any further complications.

cannery quest isn't very important, much easier to hire her first, then just kill the guy so you don't have to worry about his quest.

i use ufo4p and the only hickup i get is when i try to hire here right away inside. i let here leave the building, follow here, hire here, go back in and start the quest, never got a problem with it since i used ufo4p.
