Fallout 4

Vezi statistici:
Nuka World has far too many bugs
I know this is a Bethesda game, but they went overboard this time. The dlc is almost unplayable given the amount of bugs. Everywhere I go I run into ants, crickets and even stupid worms. Go to Nuka World, they said. It will be fun they said. An army of raiders and swarms of deathclaws are one thing, but this is just unacceptable. It's as if mosquitoes weren't bad enough in the base game, they had to go ruin the dlc.

I tried verifying the integrity of my files, reinstalling the game, and installing countless bugfixes, dozens of times. Nothing works. The bugs remains. I hear their chirping and skittering in my dreams and it's beginning to affect my performance at work (and in bed), my personal relationships are suffering, and it caused me to relapse.

I have fumigated my home, whilst barricading myself in my room until I can resolve this issue. Does anyone have a solution?

Yeah Go out side find a tall building lookup at the sky and take a step forward... LuLz

Enjoy the game.
  • Kill 'em all. (target practice)
  • Eat them raw. (*yuck*)
  • Cook & eat them. (roasted ant, roasted bloodworm, crispy cave cricket, rad-rat steak)
  • Turn them into something useful. (rad-rat meat for the Predator grenade; bloodworm meat for Maddox to start producing Calmex Silk)
When it comes to bugs as big as the ones in Fallout, to them we are the bugs.

I admit, I thought something completely different and then you... you did not disappoint with conflating the two.

When did worms become bugs? :steammocking:

Actually, there are some particular bugged bugs that bother me with Nuka World, because one of the random encounters is broken. It has some cave crickets spawning near a destructible blue car and static brahmin corpses, but the game seems to respawn it on top of itself every time the area reload, so you get an ever-growing pile of cars and a multi-corpse that has different contents depending on the exact angle you face it from. Given enough time, it should end up spawning too many objects and lag/crash the game.

So it could make the game literally unplayable, at least for whatever spot the game's chosen to lock that encounter into for a given playthrough.

Really? Hmm, I wonder if that's the cause of the random crash I get occasionally near Kiddie Town. It doesn't happen every playthrough, but sometimes if I approach Kiddie Town from the wrong direction, I crash. Every time. I have to go around the other way.

For that you could try using the console command "TFC 1" to fly the camera view over there with the game frozen if it's having a physics issue. Or toggle off the game's AI and combat Ai (with the "TAI" and "TCAI" console commands) while you go to look, in case it's the AI flipping out over something.

I've used both to check out out annoying crash zones in the past, one of which was another Nuka World bug of the non-insect kind (the one where NPCs looting the player-built tribute chests crashes the game).

So that's why i had a stack of blue cars outside the bottling plant?... learn something new every day!

I got to level 97 in that playthrough though (and visited Nuka World a number of times) If it was ever going to hit the unplayable point, i'm fairly sure my save would have been long over...

Yeah, I don't know exactly how many destructible cars you'd need in one place for the game's physics engine to decide that it's had enough.

If it can handle more than a few dozen cars and overlapphing brahmin corpses, the chances are most people will never get anywhere near a problem point. But you could say it bugs me to know that it's theoretically unavoidable if you kept playing and visiting the encounter site enough. :steammocking:
