Rylee is missing!!
Well, title sounded like a storybook but it is for real.

I found her in Longneck's factory and we had a deal for her to work for me. I sent her to my main settlement but she's never showed up.

She was travelling alone and I fear the worst... It's been days, where might she be?

Lost.... dunno why, dunno how, occasionally they "vanish in transit" U can console them back though.

Most likely they got stuck some-where.

But she is not on her regular route. I sent her to my settlement. My settlement population increased +1.

She officially is a settler of mine.

I waited, slept.. went to a mission, didnt come back for days.. but she is not there.

I desperately ring settlers bell, everyone is present but her..

I dont wanna use console. But OK!!

I first will go to her and see where she is and what she is doing. If i find her in bar or something, then deal is off.. we're done.

I hope she will have an explanation.

I found her sitting in a small cell with a milk dispenser.. all alone in the dark. what the hell

Coc REHoldingCellTraderRylee

Dev made her a holding cell, there is no door or window.. no access of any kind.

Whta the fudge is going on, why is she here? like a bdsm slave ;) damit.

Got her RefID by clicking on her and teleported her out. I rescued her.. jesus christ.

Basically if we finish that one quest they move her to that cell to remove her from the game they seemened to forget that part of we can recruit her as a trader if we want.

having found her simply use that command to move her to that settlement then you may have to go to workshop mode and actually tell her to move there.

I had an issue with setters being sent to specticle island I used a mod to track them as a quest target and found them all piled up walking against a large boulder underwater half way there.

Remove her from the game? what.. why? because she is not the only lv4 trader available? there is just one from each type of lv4 traders, but there are 3 for General Specialists. Are you saying devs actually wanted to remove her?

Well Vault-Tec Rep is an easy one to obtain, with no population requirement. But he is a ghoul, which i dont like it. Tina is behind a large quest. Rylee is the best for me, and i like her hair :P I'm glad i saved her.

-- Level 4 traders --
Smiling Larry 30 Weapons Specialist (Weapons emporium)
The Scribe 10 Armorer (Armor emporium).
Doc Anderson 20 Clinic Specialist (Surgery center)
Ron Staples 20 Food & Drink Specialist (Restaurant)
Anne Hargraves 0 Clothing Specialist (Clothing emporium)

Trader Rylee 10 General Specialist (Trading emporium)
Vault-Tec rep 0 General Specialist (Trading emporium)
Tina De Luca 0 General Specialist (Trading emporium)

Now realizied Smiling Larry requires 30 population. Waht.. 10 Chr allows 20 Settlers.. I need 20 Chr to make 30 settlers in a settlement.

I have 10 chr, I can get a +3 clothing by rescuing rex goodman, + 1 glasses, +1 hat. and +5 berry mentats? yeah +5 chr.. just checked.. hubflower and whiskey.. easy :P

I think it was poor programming on their part she is part of that one quest and when its done they remove her even if we recruited her.

If you recruit and follow her she goes smack bang into Saugaus, then Greentop, medford, starlight, then to Sanctuary but can detour to Abarnathy and then get lost sometimes, thats why she never ever arrives, not to mention doing the quest in the cannery will put her in that cell and will also never arrive. Its best to recruit, go to Sanctuary, fast travel or footslog it and use console to move her there and never complete the quest in the cannery.

We will distil some booze in her honor

Yeah it's that quest, put her there. I still dont get it, why.. Quest is already related trading afterall, and you talk to her to join, there is a related dialog lines, and she clearly says yes and starts travelling to your settlement.

why on earth, a dev makes a seperate unique cells for her, and imprison her there. After she said yes. Feels like devs kinda troll us here :P

I think so too; it's just an oversight. Maybe whoever did the quest forgot she was recruitable, or someone made her recruitable later and didn't notice that she would be stored away by that quest.

The cell itself is just a convenient storage place for the game to keep her as an NPC with a consistent reference ID and settings, instead of disabling her or deleting her and having to make a new copy later on and apply all the same changes artificially. There's a similar hidden cell for holding a bunch of other random encounter NPCs like the Scribe:

I couldn't say for certain why Rylee gets her own private cell. Maybe it's because she's not entirely a random encounter due to first turning up for that scene at Longneck Lukowski's Cannery.
