Every random event Art vs Art

I am 5 (real world) days into survival mode and every random event I encounter is Art vs Art. I must have missed it the first time it happened and now I want it to stop. I cant talk to them they both just attack. It's really immersion breaking. Does anyone have any suggestions? Otherwise I may have to start again.

What are you talking about? The encounter with the Arts[fallout.fandom.com] is in Fallout 4. The human Art pointing a gun at the synth Art. You can choose to aid either one.

And he never said anything about being 5 years old. Read it again.

I am running no mods. I looked for the problem in the unofficial patch notes and I see it listed as fixed with it. Unfortunately it's not recommend to apply the unofficial patch on a current save. So I am going to download the patch and start again.

Have you killed the synth one? Maybe if you stop ignoring the quest and kill the synth one it'll stop happening, although your companions might dislike it. You can talk to the synth one and get them to admit they're a synth.

Its one of those encounters I hate too, even you talk to them, you will have to kill the synth no matter what you do, and save the the real Art for it to stop reoccurring.

I missed the encounter the first time it happened as I don't remember ever being given the chance on this playthrough to talk to them or only kill one. Every time it happens now both are hostile and killing one or the other or both doesn't stop them from showing up again 20 mins later if I am walking along distance in the open world.

I am now resigned to starting again with the unofficial patch installed. I see so many small bugs that bother me about the game fixed in the notes.
