Keep in mind, you will have to install Outcasts & Remnants as well. It's a requirement for PV.
Both should be fine to install in an on-going game at the stage you are at. Most of the quests don't stat until chapter 2 anyway.
Just a tip, grab the Cabot Family quests first.
I usually dress her in clean army fatigues or an armored vault suit with combat armor, but part of her quest line is to find her slooty "military" outfit. Meh.
It requires Outcast and Remnants. Don't like companions? Yeah, you get three of them. O & R seeks to detox the BOS by making them a little less genocidal. It's kinda glitched because after you complete the main quest and become a BOS/G Sentinel and director of the Institute, you still find BOS v. Synth battles. Or battle. Only seen it once but it was memorable.
You'll need it for valkyrie. It breathes new life into the game and allows you to literally make a new main quest combining those mods. If your an XP ♥♥♥♥♥ or really want a super long main quest you can even do it concurrently with the vanilla main quest. You just gotta know when to stop and switch back and forth so you dont lock yourself out of stuff.
Valkyrie also has so many ways to end the game theres even an option to basically take over each faction and go im running this ♥♥♥♥ now cut the crap.
So, I played it. Then stopped. Cuz I was playing my usual non-faction way and already killed the BOS & MM, and used a mod so that Preston Garvey never existed, and killed all the Children of Atom in the Crater, . Which makes it impossible to bring the BOS to the Commonwealth or to enter the Institute.
If you play it, read the Mod's story line so you don't mess it up
Will keep this in mind.
And they are BOS, so the hubris is essential.
Much of the bad writing is because they re-purposed some of the scrip that was about other things.
not bad, but like most mods, it assumes you are a BOS fan-boi. It also assumes you didn't murder Danse, Haylen and Rhys along with the entire Rail Road Headquarters at the beginning of the game.
I had an issue with personal regrets over my last play through, started over and forgot if I killed everyone yet.
Well, yeah. No Minute Men, Rail Road all dead, BOS all dead. But you got this one quest about taking over the BOS... well, I went back to the Cambridge Police station and Scribe Haylen returned to life. Rhys was gone off doing that thing. Danse was still laying on the ground, not moving, but you could talk to him.
I couldn't remember if I had murdered the RR so I went back with the kid companion Owne to check. Found a third kid named Peter. His dad was Deacon, and he explained how his mother died. (I recall something about Deacon being a gang member that killed a synth, ended up married to a synth...). Peter said his dad hadn't done anything with him lately.
Well, that was right as his dead body was just outside the door.
Thinking of starting my own Cub Scout Den, what with Owen, Peter and Synth Shaun.
Now I'm stuck on some stupid quest were I'm lost in a maze. I hate mazes with a white hot passion.
No MM, RR dead and BoS dead? Yeah, you needed the evil one, not the good boy one
