So in my current playthrough I've managed to get railroad mkv armor which is pretty decent to get to late game. but is there any armor beside railroad mkv armor that doesnt weight a lot. right now i have marine armor, but damn it only left me 10 space from 280

Depends, most base armour can be modded with "light Build" I.E Combat Armour.

Deep pocketed all the way so you can carry more. I'm currently using 3x rad powered legendary armor pieces, 1x fortifying armor piece. Plus got 2⭐strong back perk and if getting radiation I can carry 550-580 without the use of drugs. If add buffout plus any strenght acquired by food and drink is above 600 pounds.

Clothing armoured with ballistic weave would be the obvious winner for providing good protection and not weighing a lot, since a set of clothes and a hat provide a ridiculous +220 DR/ER protection and weigh no more than when they're not armoured.

But that depends on working with the Railroad to get it, rather than just getting a Railroad armoured coat, and since it's not exactly regular armour and some of it can be worn under armour, the question remains.

Heavy synth armour is very good for its weight.

Just on a tangent, am I the only one who finds it weird you can't just buy Railroad armoured coats when you're a member of the Railroad?

really? i didnt side with them so idk. i always kill them heavy at bunker hill for railroad armor coats which is really helpful at the mid game.

that's lead me to another question, is there anyway i can get that without have to replay the game? since there is no new game +

shessh, and here i am feeling like a boss walking around with 400 carry capacity. lol what armor is that you mod?

Unless you play on survival just increase your carry weight.

What's the point of "cheating" this way? Games easy enough in Vanilla....
just visit one of the plentiful workbenches and break your looted stuff up

I find it annoying ballistic weave is tied directly behind the Railroad... it just screams "only earned here to make Railroad relevant"

I prefer sturdy leather armor with deep pockets +max protection. Deep pockets compensate its own weight and even adds extra room for items.

I dont remember if heavy leather set would compensate enough. but still it is hard to obtain it in lower levels. Maybe sturdy combat armor might be a more balanced choice.
