Fallout 4 Eat Squirrel bits?

Do peoples SS like to eat squirrel bits? I did not know they eat them in Boston?
I sell it and eat other foods,where are the squirrels?
So they must be rad squirrels?So should SS instant die eating rad food?or company did
it right?

You don't die instantly from eating radiated food. You lose maximum health until you take radiation meds. This is cumulative each time you are exposed to radiation.

As of squirrel bits, it's best to cook the radiation out of them. Make crispy squirrel bits, squirrel on a stick or squirrel stew.

I recommend making squirrel stew at your nearest cooking station.

BTW, Squirrel Bits are survival food, not Boston food. They are basically what you get when you butcher a squirrel They are in all the fallout games, and nobody who knows how to play would think of eating them raw.

Honestly, I wish they added some squirrels running around to hunt like the crows so you could hunt your own squirrels using your recreational tactical nukes.

Presumably they are all around, we just never actually see them in game. One of the outfits in the Far Harbor DLC has squirrel tails on it. Apparently you can see actual squirrels in Fallout 76. They have lost all their hair, so it seems like the squirrels in Far Harbor are less effected by the radiation (the pelts on the hunter's pelt outfit still have all their fur).

Yeah, there is also the possibility that they are simply raised in captivity in that region, hence, the lower radiation. They also might live in places that weren't nuked directly or full of nuclear waste dumps.

Anyhow, I thought the furries were the ones that were always eating squirrel bits. :D

Well to be fair, Appalachia was never nuked in 2077, it wasnt until the players got let out of the vault it got nuked, lol.

Yep. Had the daily task of "kill 20 creatures while well fed."
So I went to the Fashnacht Parade event to kill mobs and defend the parade, only thing is all the damn squirrels kept popping up in my VATS.
Okay ya so an ultracite Gauss Rifle is probably overkill.....

There is even a wacky daily that comes up where you use a syringer to implant chips into critters and you can hear their thoughts. Kinda funny first few times.

the whole time the SS is running around trying to blow up the factions but in reality, if you were eating radiated squirrel meat the only thing that would get blown up would be the toilet

I rarely eat squirrel in FO4, instead I survive on roaches, mole rats, bloat flies, mutated deer, and mutated dogs. A better question is why there aren't any possum, racoons or ferrets?

there will always be someone who does not understands... but thats on them, not on us.

but you also have to admit... despite its being mostly question and nonsense that has been brought up several times throughout the decades... the topics kind of start a dialogue between us players.

I mean, SS eats bugs of all kinds, mirelurks, etc. Why not raiders and gunners? Taste more like pork. I donno, if I had to choose between eating rad roach and raider ribs...
