Why isn't Sal (I think) spawning in Jamaica Plains? I'm looking for the combat armor.

I'm on survival and level 16 right now and heard that it's a consistent spot to find the armor, but the gunner just doesn't spawn. is there anyway to fix this or am I just gonna have to find another way to get some?

It's a pretty dangerous place to go on L16 Survival just for some combat armor. I would take with a pinch of salt whenever people say 'guaranteed spawn', many alleged 'guaranteed' spawns are levelled lists.

Anyway I don't think any of the bodies spawn in, I think they are all there from the outset even if you go at L1. Unless this is the quest that takes you to Jamaica Plains to get the loot?

It might be a quest, I'll look into it more. I know that they spawn with the password for the mayors terminal so that's why its guaranteed. and you're right, it was a ♥♥♥♥♥ getting past the ghouls. I pretty much have a permanent addiction to jet in survival mode lol.

Looks like she is pre-placed and not part of any related quest. Check the town hall. Beware of ferals! :-D

her remains are at the upper floor, you cant pass it, the green radiated glow from the unfriendly guy in there will lead the way.....
if you are up fro only combat armor the scrapyard near the forged or the many small bridgeforts of the gunners are easyer and saver to reach.

and she is a container that can contain combat armor, but the level of the armor is another story when you get there.

thanks for the suggestion, I'll go and check those places out, I'm kinda hesitant to actually get in a firefight with gunners at this point but I'll try. I looked exactly where she's supposed to be but she just isn't there lmao idk whats up with it, bethesda being bethesda I guess, I just wish I could use the console to find a way to fix it but that's out of the question, I'll just live with it. it's really strange though

Depending on how the developers tagged them, sometimes those pre-placed bodies get cleared away after your first visit to the area, as long as you've passed close enough for that part of the world to load (about 1.5 grid squares on your Pipboy map).

I don't remember having that problem at Jamaica Plains, but it does crop up for similar cases like the Minuteman body in the outer garage of the super duper mart in Lexington, or the body in the canal north of Taffington boathouse (ironically the bodies in the boathouse itself are hard to remove). Also for a whole lot of raider bodies at super mutant sites, where you can sometimes see the patches of blood that were painted in under them by the developers.

woud be the first time i hear that a corpse act like some Complete PA spawns that only spawn when you have a apropiate minlevel
