Mod recommendations for a more living commonwealth/faction prescence?
Just finished a couple New Vegas playthroughs, best playthroughs I've ever had. Mainly due to the addition of several mods, such as Living Wasteland, NCR & Legion Patrols, and Factions Reloaded. Looking for something similar for Fallout 4.

Are there good mods that increase the Brotherhood/Institutes Presence in the Wasteland? More fights, more encounters? Increase raider presence? Maybe some smaller factions?

Possibly more attacks on settlements? I love playing the minutemen and building a great defense, but then I never get to use it because nobody ever attacks. Harder, more frequent attacks would be great. Maybe some radiant raids on brotherhood/institute/raider camps that always respawn after a certain amount of time that I can take a few minutemen to?

I don't know, just trying to give some ideas. You guys recommend anything? Also, quick question: Does Nexus have any more mods than Fallout 4 does in-game? Wondering if its worth looking on Nexus.

If you can run the Storywealth collection on Nexus that would do it and then some. If want to go lighter just do the Sim Settlements 2 bundle and all is related SS2 mods. Yes there is way more on Nexus.
Edit: some more recs if you want to go lighter: We are the Minutemen, and NPCs Travel.

-Better Settlers and
-Tales of the Commonwealth are the first ones that come to mind.
-Also Commonwealth Captives (when you bust raider/gunner/mutant lairs you get to rescue tied up damsels in distress, which you can then add to your settlements, you can also have a setting to include dudes to rescue but thats always a bit creepy to me because of the way these NPCs are tied up if you get my meaning)
- There is a mod called "more attacks on Settlements" but it is said to be buggy (I read up on it since I was thinking the same way you do). But i get you. when you have built a great defense at great expense it means no one will show up to challenge it. Deterrrence in action.
- Also yes Nexus has tons more mods and is well organized. However a number of creators have recently left nexus (and locked thier files) due to a lot of heavy handed moderating and forcing files into collections and a few political censorshop things even.
So a number of Mods can now only be found on Discord.

Highly highly recommend against downloading any "collection".

Research your mods individually. At best, use a collection as a GUIDE to figure out what you want out of that grab-bag of potentially broken stuff.

"a number of creators" - about 6 of them, with very, very bad results for them.
