Ronnie Shaw glitch
I set up the radio beacon after having a stable crew of 9 at the Castle. I returned to castle when three more settlers arrived. All settlers/minutemen were unassigned, I believe one or two new 'recruits' may have been farmers. I got that sorted out eventually, but when I talked to Ronnie Shaw, she would only trade items as a settler. She has no prompts under the construction menu to be assigned at all. The radio operator went back to his job after I unpowerered then rewired the transmitter. Ronnie remains useless. any fixes out there for this?

PC Playstation 4 Xbox One The player character may be unable to assign or trade with Ronnie after completing Old Guns, talking to her only opening her inventory (like generic settlers). This bug may happen if the Radio Freedom bug occurred. [verified]

PC If this occurs, it is possible to restore her shop functions by assigning her to a constructed weapon shop. In the console, click on the store and type setpapyrusvar bAllowPlayerAssignment True, then click her and type addkeyword WorkshopAllowCommand. Fast traveling away from the Castle and back may be required before the console command's effect works, but once it does, she will resume her former dialogue and still offer her unique inventory, including laser muskets and The Last Minute.

Does Radio Freedom still broadcast?

The two bugs may be related, and a possible "fix" for the Radio Freedom not broadcasting is go somewhere else, set off an artillery grenade, then after the targeting transmission it may start broadcasting again. So maybe fixing one fixes the other. It's worth a try... go back down to that building and throw an artillery grenade in there, tune to Radio Freedom, let them blast it again, and return and see if Ronnie Shaw returns to her old self.

Radio freedom broadcasts artillery works Re: quest --> Was the quest active in your Pipboy? Uh which quest? I already have artillery and recieved points for the old guns quest. I had sold maybe 20,000 caps worth of crap to her already. I have played fallout4 constantly since xmas of 2015. burned up two laptops melting te institute. This 'nobody works glitch' occurs a lot for me, but never with Ronnie going wacko. I gotta finish this one up quick. My 4 year old alienware 17 has a fan failure and sounds like a sewing machine on low speed, except when it outright srceams, and draws the ire of my wife. Do they make laptops that don't burnup playing games?

They make things called "desktop computers" these days. Which are far more suited to actually playing graphically heavy games like Fallout 4...
