No Save Game Location
I have looked EVERYWHERE!
Under C:\Users\*Username*\Documents,
there are no folders.
Under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4,
I have looked everywhere in there but no save game locations
I have searched, researched, double and triple checked, but NO SAVE GAME LOCATION!
I feel like I am going mad, there HAS to be a save game folder, right? Or else how does it save?
What I am trying to do get the save right before getting on the elevator to skip the entire into, and what I want to do is put that save state onto my desktop so I can quickly start a new game without the like 5-10 minutes of the beginning.
I am on Windows 10, don't know what other specifications that may be important.
Please help me.

it is suggestion to have installed or move steam to a folder outside of programfiles due to the constantly changing windows security as well as using this method to move the saves using this method. personally I used it to move the entire fallout 4 folder from documents\my games.

Why would one move the whole My Documents folder, just to change the FO4 savegame location

1. Copy or move the savegames from My Documents/Fallout4/Saves to the location desired, eg. G:\FO4Saves
2. Delete or rename the original Saves folder at My Documents/Fallout4/Saves to something else, eg. Saves.backup
3. Open cmd with admin rights and navigate to My Documents/Fallout4
4. Create a symlink to the new location with mklink

Basic Syntax:
mklink /D [linkname] [linktarget]

To follow my example:
mklink /D Saves G:\FO4Saves

This will create a directory symlink named "Saves" in the My Documents/Fallout4/ folder, which points to the new savegame location. Windows treats the directory symlink as a folder, and so does Fallout. Works completely flawless for me since 200+ hrs of gameplay.

GO to C:\Users\name\Documents\My Games\Fallout4
Open your Fallout4Custom INI file.
Scroll to the bottom and it should say something like:
[General]
SLocalSavePath=Saves\HyDSM4mBo\

DO NOT PUT STEAM THERE.

Good lord.

Dude.

That's *not where Steam goes*. It should not be there.
this will help if you want to move steam outside of the folder windows "protects" in a way that hinders many programs from working.
