help, for some reason my follower wont follow me

my follower ada is stuck in a spot and she is stuck in the "stay" command i don't know what to do

Shoot her a few times until she needs repairing. That will usually unstick them. Works with all the companions, such as when they fall from a height and slide around on a broken leg.
edit: then repair her afterwards of course.

Dismiss her to a settlement, then re-recruit her after she moves but before she leaves the area.

Have you tried talking to her? Sometimes when a companion has unfinished dialog they will freeze in place until you finish it.
Too many times I have had to backtrack to find my companion while they are just standing there waiting to talk to me.

Go get another companion, pass some time roaming, days. Then find her where you dismissed her to.

Nowhere does this post indicate what mods you're running. Nor what part of the quest line you're at for her.

Both of those things would help tremendously. For the mods, that's your load list and might include any companion or npc changes or anything from the cc at all since who knows what that might have.

Your quest line however can be looked up,

SAVE YOUR GAME

open the console and type

sqt

that will bring up a list of your currently available quests.

hers include:

DLC01MQ01 (mechanical menace)
DLC01MQ02 (a new threat)
DLC01MQ04 (headhunting)
DLC01MQ05 (restoring order) and the like - this is DLC01, the mechanist; main quests 1-whatever.

If one or more of those show up in your list, type

getstage and that quest's id as above.

That will tell you at what stage the quest is stalling out.

My bet is that you may have something else hanging behind these - if you have left ANYONE IN A SETTLEMENT WITHOUT ANSWERING THEM, you need to FIND them. Talk to them and finish the conversation. Once that is done she might come to her senses. Good luck with that one.

no mods, havent went to the factory, talked to some people at my settlements i just dont know what to do

Then please DO what I explained directly in the quote.

That's why I posted it. So you can DO that, and post what the results are when you look up the quest IDs and stages of the quest.
