I don't use W10 so I don't know whether the device manager is much different from 7, so I'd suggest looking that up. Basically you want to FORCE the machine to actually USE your video card, instead of trying to use that old chipset hd630.
I didn't see a separate video card in the specifics. I got that he wasn't able to get one installed, from the post. All I saw was the Intel Integrated Graphics. But in the event that he would get a dedicated card, then yes - you're right, the integrated chip would have to be disabled in Device Manager.
Head to the manufacturer's website, look up your video card model and OS, and download the DRIVER ONLY - not the bloatware suite because it'll just take up space and be largely useless particularly if you don't already know what you want out of it... Make sure it's installed correctly, it should show up there instead of the hd.
It's 1GB VRAM may be the major limiting factor here.. Mods to reduce the texture load might be a necessity?
it's got a 1070 in the list. Steam's way of labelling it is awkward, but it is there. The only issue is the VRAM..
That's actually terrible advice.
The integrated graphics are there to save power in desktop and multimedia use.
And if there really should be a game where you can not select the GPU...
In windows your can select for each programm the graphics processor
in a sense, your entirely right, and for some laptops disabling the integrated is not actually possible because it's the "display" to the screen; There are laptops that have "dedicated" cards but they're more boosters rather than standalone. Disabling the integrated on *those* laptops would mean no display at all, but i don't know if OP's is one of those types. I know a lot of Asus laptops run that way, so other manufacturers probably do the same.
That said, zekiran is also right, because they didn't say to permanently disable it, just to do so. If the game launches, then atleast OP will be able to play, and can simply re-enable the integrated later on. The biggest issue is getting the game to run at all right now.
with a lot of minimalist texture mods to reduce the load and a ton of saving XD Honestly, yeah, it's going to be a struggle for the OP

the VRAM will be a significant handicap, regardless of whether they have 32GB of ram or not.
Those drivers -may- help, but given the OS install date, the driver install date, and the driver version, it isn't likely to help to any marked extent, if it will at all.
You must be new to the computer world.

nope, i just know the difference between the two without the need of a google link....
