How to turn this into a zombie survival game?

Bored as hell with the vanilla and ant to remove the story and quests and just survive in a zombie apocalaypse.

considering the respawn timers, it is a zombie apocalypse game.

I would probably make ammo really scarce and add in a crossbow.

I also want to remove story and quests. Or atleast remove the main story.

How to Survive can entertain you a lot in my opnion the game has no good story, challenges are fun and tough as hell and survival mode with turrets is the best.
I only recommend the first game.

My brother did this on his save and the zombies basically spawned everywhere and killed anyone they could lol they'd 2 shot him too, thus his game got killed.

Just uncheck any quests that are main story quests in the quest menu. I've played a few times as a survivor in post war Boston by customizing the quests this way.

Start a settlement and leave defences low. Role play the attacks as zombie attacks.

DUST is better and even that has it's problems

I mean you want the game to become a zombie survival, but don't like the few options to do so. I don't think you'll get what you're looking for with this game, mods can only do so much, I'm sure there's a survival game out there that you haven't played yet

Since they have ruined 7 days to die I honestly don't have much enjoyment for most other zombie games.

Anyway I have gotten most of the mods I want and am satisfied with a cool zombie survival save.

There is a mod called "the World is dying" or some such. It killed me in Sanctuary. Even the run out of Vault 111 had much improved Radroaches. A brutally hard playstyle (in my opinion at least) that may fancy you if you are bored.

And there sure is several others. I think FROST is a true GEM and it is made by a BRILLIANT modder. He also made such a mod for New Vegas, and i believe it is DUST, but not sure right here & now.
