Save files not showing up in game
I´ve deleted the config file to generete a new one, since my performance weirdly went from 60 to 16 fps on all saves and locations. The saves files are located in my documents where the configs are, yet I cant load or see them in game.

Is there a way to restore it?

Save files should be in a "Saves" folder, where those config files are located.

Otherwise with windows explorer search for .FOS files on the computer and copy them in Denne PC\Dokumenter\My Games\Fallout4\Saves
or in C:\Users\Toto\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Saves ( replace Toto with your username)

I know where the saves are, as I mentioned
"The saves files are located in my documents where the configs are, yet I cant load or see them in game."

My apologies, then. I read it as the saves were directly in the same folder as the configs.
If you try to load a save, can you select "Show all Saves"?

The OP's old INI files probably had a line like this:
SLocalSavePath=Saves\s9Yvp9CDy\
Which stored saves in their own folder.

So when the OP deleted the INI it returned to the default path folder, which would be empty.

@Bored Peon, I had thought about that but with such little info provided from the onset. Eh. If one cannot be bothered to try to provide as much info as possible, then its like pulling teeth. Appreciate your input.

I been doing this for like six years now, so yeah I get that.
However sometimes you just have to go ahead with that assumption, because 90% of the time you are going to be right.

Just have to watch out for that tenth time and the community trolls.

Having the same problem, I just did a big windows re-install and moved my save files back to their home in the normal save location but now the game can't see or load them. Not sure what's going on.

Update, I got em back. Not exactly sure what fixed it, but I switched the cloud saves on (I normally have them off), then restarted Steam as an admin. Once I saw the saves back, I switched off cloud saves and ran steam normally and they're still there and working fine. Woo!

Update 2: Apparently, it's a problem with onedrive. Steam has redirected saves to the onedrive documents folder. You just need to tell onedrive to save locally only and steam will start using your normal user documents folders again.
