Arena fights: other settlers attacking the contestants
So i staged a fight btw an Alpha Dealthclaw and a Settler using a baseball bat and some heavy raider armor, when the fight started and the deathclaw left the cage all the settlers that were supposed to be ''watching'' the fight started to shoot at the deathclaw, god even a turret quite far was shooting as well, did i do something wrong? or it is just a bug? Cuz i remember seeing on the trailer the settlers aplauding to the fight and stuff like that. Oh and the arena was closed and protected by walls and those powered gates.

We are suppost to set up a area and the Bugged out settle's attack what ever you want to watch.
They dont know how to sit on the azzes and watch the fight.
How do you set up a fight or arena where the bugged out settle (WHO ARE NOT IN THE ARENA TO FIGHT AND ARE SUPPOST TO SIT AND WATCH) sit and watch without attacking.
The wave omiter does not stop the settles from attacking.

The only way that arena works for me, just to build it for personal and that settlers cannot reach it or see the mobs. It like usual.. the idea was not bad, but implementation is sux.

lol. I built the spot like arena, with power doors to close!!!! all settlers inside , before starting fights in the arena, NO WAY... they teleport, they shoot creatures through the walls....

Might be the only lazy still did not still write down how settlers AIs were "brilliant".


P.S.
1. AnD... who wrote down....wrote again and again the same crap ... wave emmiter does not work!!! for raiders, gunners, mutants.. so, pls do not wtite those rubbish again
2. I would pay just 10$ if developers fix rubbish settlers AI finally ( and TV sets bug) - would pay just for that.

I don't know what the answer is, I cannot for the life of me get a raider vs settler in a fair 1v1 fight. Raider always aggros the crowd, and it turns into raider vs entire settlement every time. Even with beta emitter and the quitting time light active.

So for a simple DLC the arena aspect is completely botched IMO.
The game actually tells you that the emitter doesn't affect raiders, gunners and mutants. So it's not botched in that regard. Personally I think that's (mostly) stupid, but you can't say it's not working. the game tells you it works like this.

Maybe so, doesn't change the fact that for an "arena DLC" it does a poor job of implementing it.

So Raiders, Gunners, Mutants are basically worthless in terms of fights, unless you think watching 20 settlers and a whack of turrets obliterate everything instantly is an "arena fight".
I got it to work 1 out of 20 times.
To fix, I had to Dismiss all robots and send then to other settlements,DELETE ALL CAGES and the Emmiter and place it all back down to reset it to work again.
After the next match and every other match, I had to repeat Delete and replace to reset again.
Is the Company that makes this Game a branch off or part of EA?.

I did some tests with a new arena, built 3 cages ghoul cages, a super mutant cage and 2 deathclaw cages, i assigned a settler to fight and locked him in a separate session of the arena and released the ghoul, at first no1 became hostile to the ghoul even tho he was hostile towards me, but after i released the settler to fight him well... gotta say those explosive bullet turrets pretty much did the job... so far looks like the ''arena'' only works properly if there is not even a single settler/turret/robot that spots the creatures u release or if u just make fights btw settler vs settler, also i noticed that even if u gear up ur settler with the best gear available they will still get rekt by pretty much anything cuz they r lvl 2 and the creatures r usually at ur lvl, so far the most ''fair'' fights were settlers vs settlers using similar equipment...
you need to tame the creature first! then settlers will not attack the creature unless assigned to a battle pad.

Completely agree, It makes it worthless even including them. As I said, it's stupid.

Haven't build one yet but this person has their settlers all relaxing and some are even cheering. You probably missed something when you made it.

OOORRRR....It could be the settlers themselves also dislike Preston. :steammocking:

I just sit calm and relax, m8 .As for sure , modders on Nexus will fix it that raiders, mutants and gunners have constant agro. Who made that in B.? So, bright idea.

You need the wave, which everybody else has pointed out. The wave doesn't work on Gunners, Raiders, and Super Mutants though. It should work on everything else just fine.

Usually, I'll keep the gunners and Raiders somewhere else just for Strong's personal amusement, since Strong likes to smash... (When Strong isn't beating up Marcy or Preston, that is).

You reminded me. I forgot to build chairs/stands for the settlers to watch at my own Arena in The Castle. I only manage to build the control stage (the area for myself with all of the levers so I can control the fights).

the same. I had to build the 2nd closed arena for gunners, mutants, raiders.. ofc deathclaw there.. and that settlers cannot get there.
the 2 nd arena just, because somebody in B. bad ideas? well done... really
