Bug? or new fix? cant drink from water pump from settlement?
as it says, when the survival mode came out i was able to fill bottles at the pump for pure clean bottled water that still works, but now i cant drink when thirsty from the pump which i used to do before.
is it a bug or a fix because if it is a fix thats just dumb, like why coudnt you drink from a pump

bug

store the pump in the workshop then rebuild it

Two of my three pumps work fine but the one in Red Rocket doesn't quench my thirst (but still refills the bottles). I'll try what mgrisd said.

Yup, confirmed this worked. I was having the same issue; my water pump stopped quenching my thirst, but would refill bottles. mgrisd fix works.

Just wanted to pitch in that I aswell was having this problem and am glad it's not related to mods.

Not a bug, really. Pumps track how much water is available to them and can "run out". Eventually it will replenish. Run multiple pumps and drink a lot, and you'll see this.

This does happen.

In fact stand at a pump and just keep pumping water and it should run out eventually. May have to stop and start again to see this not sure.

Does this also work for the vanilla version of Fallout 4? Or only the Survivor setting?

Bumping old threads makes me cry. I've got ten years worth of old posts. None of them are even relevant past a couple weeks, but THANK GOODNESS STEAM SUBSCRIBES TO EVERY DISCUSSION BY DEFAULT! Now I can hear irrelevant replies to ancient discussions that were never important in the first place.

I guess what I'm saying is, Necroposting is cancer. Don't do it.
The Rabid Otter May 21, 2018 @ 8:28am
My question still stands. Can I use empty bottles with water pumps to create fresh water flasks?

Also, necroposting is superior to a slew of short posts that ask the same question, as [1] all the relevant posts are in the same place and [2] the larger numer of mentions of the search term make it rise to the top of the search list.

You can't win here. If you resurrect an old thread, you get battered for necroposting. If you start a new thread, you get battered for asking something that has already been discussed before.
I would like to add that this bug also happens to other items like the radiation removing arch (or whatever it's called).
