Is there a way to pen up the Brahmin ?

Because they're driving me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy. Constantly in the way. I shot one that wouldn't get out of my way so I could place a building and the whole town went ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on me lol.

You could bulid a Brahmin feed trough under Resources > Miscellaneous.

They will gradually wander over to it and stay in its vicinity.

If you're quick enough, use the feed trough as Silverfang says, then the next time you see the brahmin near it, quickly fashion a fence around it. Leave a small gap and put a gate in for your settlers and the brahmin should stay put.

I've had one penned like this for a while now. Though I have to say the first time I tried it, the little bugger got out somehow....

...and got himself stuck on the roof of the building next door. :)

Thanks Silverfang. I tried that once but they didn't seem to migrate to it. I'll biuld another one and wait a few days and see if they head over to it.
If I can get them all in one spot I'll quickly build a pen to keep them at bay lol

I've read that your setlent only benefits from one brahmin. Any more on top of that don't improve food or fertilizer production.

Wrong. It stacks.

Look under console command for bonus food production in the help workshop section.

Also keep in mind you need to keep both sides of the trough clear because the brahmin will move form one side to the other, especially if you have more than one.

Brahmin also have the same AI failsafe settlers do, if they can not reach a destinaiton they will teleport.

Brahmin also have a tendacy to try moving and melee attacking during settlement combat for some dumb ass reason.

Yes built a brahim feed trough, they won't go to far away from it, and also build a fence around if you want to.

My Sanctuary brahmin - who I've named Betty - is the complete opposite. Just sits her her fat butt all day chewing cud. Probably the most docile brahmin in the Commonwealth. Still, she's popular with the settlers and produces healthy irradiated milk guaranteed to cause cancer.

spoiler I have found that most brahmin that act strange and get in the way wondering around ( instead of staying at the trough ) are synths.

Probably best to have just thought that to yourself, at least those were useful posts.

Anyway, I tend to keep the trough in the middle of my Corale, because like mentioned before, they will go to either side of the trough. That means you get Brahmin glitching through your fences, ahh buggy bug bugs. Best thing to do; Stick the trough out of sight, round the back of a house or something, away from the settlement proper. Don't even bother with a fence.

Out of sight, out of mind. That's just my advice anyway.

My current play through sucks for brahmin. None have ever just appeared in my settlements, I can't even get those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the hill just outside of starlight to come to the feed tub I built as close as I could to them, and I cannot find kelly ANYWHERE. Previous play through she was always at the ravine near tenpines or at the little lakes west of the slog / saugus. She's not in this playthrough at any of the random encounter points. Bugger.

They can always just randomly spawn outside those pens after you travel to your settlement
