Lovers Embrace.
To get this do they need to be my active companion? Or can they just reside in the settlement im about to sleep in, and still get the perk?
Google can't give me a simply yes or no, thanks :)

Nope, they don't have to be your active companion. However you need to be relatively close in distance, ie not in beds at different ends of the settlement! lol
I sleep near MacCready although I'm also having naughty fantasies about Danse in the house down the road. Bad girl!

No. I've done this at my settlement with MacCready, even though he wasn't my active companion at the time. Still got the Lover's Embrace if I slept fairly near him.

I dunno... I think if I was a guy I'd prefer Cait over Piper. Cait seems like she'd be more "up for it". lol

I miss my hubbie Vorstag from Skyrim...even if he DID have a thing about wearing pretty tiaras and sounded like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
At least in Skyrim they actually called you "my love". lol

When you switch between them as active companions, Cait makes a comment about having three-way, to which Piper tells her "never going to happen".

Cait's not only more "up for it" but she's willing to bring a friend.

Regardless, the game doesn't prevent you from having as money lovers as you want, so...
