Quick question re X6-88 - [Solved] :)
Am about to do some Institute missions with courser companion X6-88 and was wondering if he gets killed when I eventually turn against the Institute, or will he remain as a companion afterwards? I want to keep him afterwards as he's pretty cool.
Thanks

I'm with Railroad, they said I gotta kill him at Bunker hill. So no, if you want that.

Well I'm not intending to go the Railroad route.. I'm dumping them soon after I finish their quests Underground Undercover and the one after that. Plus I've already done Bunker Hill and all is ok. I've got to the stage where X6 is available as a companion.

Sorry dunno that, I've only done Railroad, I may do Institute this 2nd play, I still killed him but Director table still made me Leader, lol.

Lol. Yeah I'm on my second playthrough and trying to advance all the factions as far as each one can go before I REALLY have to choose.
In fact when I did Bunker Hill, I'd informed BoS AND the Railroad about it and let them do my dirty work killing each other and the Institute synths while I sneaked through just destroying a couple of turrets and then retrieving the escaped synths. It was a bit cunning I suppose, but I've had no repercussions from any of the factions.

Lol! at B Hill I just killed courser then went to Father, all cool. [because it said in pipboy, see Father, free synths - they have it backwards]This storyline Main quests is bollocks if you ask me.

Yes, a bit!
On my first playthrough I let all those escaped synths go at Bunker Hill, much to Father's annoyance. He still made me Director though.. Fool! lol

No worries, I sometimes completely derail other people's threads when I'm in a silly mood. Not on purpose of course, it just happens that way. :)

When I did that Libertalia I told him no cos I didn't wanna dismiss Piper. He came anyway, 3 of us. but first (and i quicksaved) I went Railroad to get patched up by Doc. - and it was Bedlam!
had to roll that one back.

Every faction has a unique companion. When you turn against a faction, you lose their respective companion. X6-88 is the institutes unique companion. So yes, you lose him.

Ah, so he's not like Danse in that respect then. Shame really. He's cool. Guess I'll just do all the side quests first to get his max affinity perk.

I'm not going to destroy them though. I'm just abandoning them after Blind Betrayal and siding with the Minutemen.

There is a Fallout Wiki[fallout.wikia.com] you can check out for things like this. It will even list companions like and dislikes.
