Cannot get piper to stop following me
Running about 40 or so mods but none of them are companion mods. ive tried heaps of stuff, manually trying to send her away with the console and disabling and enabling her through the console doesnt change anything either. if i get another companion she follows along aswell. unsure of what to do from here.

I've had that happen many times when messing with mods and companion mods etc just select her and type this in the console
cf "actor.setcompanion" false false

This should give you the option to which settlement you want to send her that actually works.

If that dos not work make a .bat file with these lines then target piper in the console and enter the command bat name name being what you call the file then if piper is in the alias companion on the followers quest enter the command to empty that alias.

;open console and click on Cait (or any follower you may have this problem with) and enter the following commands: cf "actor.setcompanion" false false cgf "Utility.Wait" 1 setconsolescopequest followers cgf "Utility.Wait" 1 setplayerteammate 0 cgf "Utility.Wait" 5 ;manually enter emptyrefalias companion to clear the companion alias on followers quest.

this should completly remove any targeted npc as a follower.

That was one of the many commands i have tried. If i dismiss her the option to send her somewhere comes up and i select it and it says she will go there but she still follows me.
Ive tried the true true and then trying to dismiss her normally as well as the false false command but she just will not leave

if you are in the quest where you need to go to memory den after discussion with nick and piper at nick's office and you chose to go with piper, it might cause her to not leavre until the quest is finished.

otherwise if you want to get rid of piper, go in front of diamond city in the large street and shoot ome dc guatds, she should turn hostile and leave you, don't shoot her if she begins to shoot you, just run away.

otherwise, install " liga of my companion " , a multi follower mod, it gives you an holotape, then via the holotape go to settings and choose "dismiss" option, it works most of the time.

do those on a save before you applied various console commands on her .
Ill download it an give it a go. and i have only only rescued nick havent gone further than that

have you tried liga ? if the dismiss option doesn't work the firs time, then try again, at some points the companion will get dismissed. it works on bugged companions.
I tried it once. ill give it a few more tries though
