What is the best clothing mod to wear under (shadow) combat armor?

Pocketed/Deep Pocketed or Asbestos Lined in my opinion, all depends what your looking to get from it, Since I pick up a lot of junk, and weapons (junk for settlement supplies, Weapons for Followers/Setllers) I go Deep Pocketed. Though Asbestos and Lead Lined are quite useful as well.

For stealth build, I love the light/ultralight. Armor weight factors into your stealth (and has the most impact on your chest piece), and the extra +5/10 AP helps you get an extra VATS hit once in a while.

none, strip all that off and throw mark 5 ballistic weave on the mechanist's armor, not only will you have nearly the best armor, but you'll look awesome :p

You can weave army fatigues and still wear outer armor parts.

To be honest, I don't understand the question. If its stats you're asking about - they're all the same. If its looks, that's a personal question that really, only you can answer and no one else is going to see anyway.

Yes but you'll look like a knob 😝. Also heavy synth armor is the best in game, as for the best clothing? Just depends on your stats a few +stat clothing can be worn under armor parts, see what bonus you need and you'll have your answer.

Robot armor with weave army fatigues look tight as hell and also heavy Robot armor is better than heavy Synth armor.

At least looks better than Spongebob's Rayman armor.

Use ballistic weave on green shirt and combat boots outfit. You can wear a full set of armor over it, and it gives +1 charisma and endurance. I'm wearing that under a suit of sharp combat armor and keep a ridiculous charisma when I'm not in power armor.

Military Fatigues give +2 agilty which = +20 ap & +2% pickpocet chance.

And also if thats not good enough adds +5 energy resistance on top of the markV weave

And if you dont have nerd rage add a Martyr's legendary armor piece to the mix.

Temporarily slows time down during combat when you are at 20% or less Health.

It will save your life more often than not.
