docile achievement

i have like 8 dogs and a brahmin that i caught in cages and tamed with beta wave emitter in sanctuary and the achievement hasnt unlocked. do i need 5 different animals? how do i unlock?

It is probably 5 different animals. I had all the creature (minus insect) cages set up for my arena released at the same time. I think that's what gave me the achievement.

Well its to pacify the animals, so animals like dogs and brahmin are not agressive. So I think you need animals like deathclaws and yao Guai.

Pacify a deathclaw?????

Sorry i'm new. So is this what the Cages that you can build in settlements for?

You need the cage to get the deathclaw and then you need a Beta wave emitter to pacify them

I figured it out. It can be 5 of the same animal. i set up 5 mole rat traps and didnt open them until i had all 5 caught. opened them up at the same time and the pacify achievement popped up. it seems like having animals that are agressive towards one another didn't work even if they survive for a while or are walled off from one another. also dogs didn't seem to matter for this achievement even if they are agressive mongrels that you pacify. If you're going for this achievement a good bet is using mole rat traps ONLY. I even got a mole rat with 2 landmines stapped to it.

Mirelurk nests along coastal areas have eggs you can pick up. Try near war wicks/ spectacle island.

Yea, you're right it, it can be 5 of the same animal but only if they would be aggressive, i did it with 4 deathclaws and a Feral Ghoul i think it was. Things like gorillas, radstags (i think), dogs, cats, brahman - anything normally passive will not work. They can be 5 different but the chances are that they will kill each other- especially deathclaws, they do not work well with Mirelurks, Guai's or anything else that they dont like. Raiders, gunner and super mutants are always hostile and cannot be pacified.

Easiest place for mirelurk eggs is actually east of Sanctuary across the lake behind the Robotics Disposal ground.

Another easy place is just west of Covenant by the lake (Covenant side)

There's a shipwreck on the far southern coast, near which I encountered ... a crapton of mirelurks, including a legendary queen AND king.

did it with 5 mole rat at the same time, after trying 1 deathclaw each in 5 separate settlements.
