Automatron DLC Repairable Robots by themself?
Can Robots use the Repair Kits themselves to repair on their own if they're equipped with it?

Nope... Same as settlers and companions don't use stimpacks on themselves...

No. Companions can. I put 10 Stimpacks in Piper. She heals herself. Dunno about Dogmeat, I guess he does but Robots don't.

Never once seen a companion use a stim pack... Despite Piper carrying them since she first joined me, I'm frequently having to heal her myself...

Piper gave me some gum once, and later a Nuka Cola, don't know where she got it from though....

And random people give me stuff in Diamond City as I pass by.

maybe you are too fast. She does lay there crying at first and you can Stim her but if you leave her whining and she's got Stimpacks she heals herself.

Are you sure you're not confusing the supposed use of stim packs the standard recovery mechanic? Outside of Survival mode, if a companion is incapacitated, they will get back up when combat ends...

This does not use a stim pack, it just happens...

In Survival mode they return to their designated home, if you do not heal them when incapacitated...

Try what? Giving them stimpacks? Piper has had the same 20 stimpacks that I gave her when we first met... Never used them, despite me having to heal her on a regular basis when she is incapacitated during combat, or simply waiting for her to recover after-wards (pre Survival revamp)...

If companions were actually using stimpacks, she'd not need me to heal her, unless she took one massive hit, as she'd be using the 20 I gave her, but since I've never given her a single stimpack more, I know she's not using them... Hence, companions don't use stimpacks...

because you heal her she still has 20. My Piper, I never Stim her in combat. She heals herself and her 20 Stims deplete. I keep her topped up. It's better this way, I can keep fighting.

I only asked this mainly because my robots are easily getting destroyed by Ghouls.

I used to give my companions stimpacks (and yes, they use them if you don't), but I don't anymore and I've never used a robot repair kit so I don't know if they'll repair themselves during combat or not but they should, all of the companion type npc's are using the same base actor class.

Robots can however, heal you. [Regeneration Field – heals allies outside of combat (Requires Robotics Expert 2, Science 2)].
