Can shaun be a companion? Or a follower? Its the same thing lol
I heard some people say he can some say he can't....

I dont think so. He just hangs around your settlement.

That kid does not need to be exposed to anything outside my settlement let alone the stuff we end up seeing, plus he seems small enough to get stuck in everything.

Shh, I fear that "thing" I mean that kid, they seem a little sheltered I don't want them wandering around with me, who knows what would happen.

No he can't be a companion. He stays at whatever settlement you send him to and he will ask for misc junk for you to bring him which he makes armor and weapon mods from.
