Deacon is Terrible
I don't know if it's my play style or what, but I hate Deacon. I call him out on all his lies and then he turns around and tries to teach me a leason!? I always boost my charisma super high in Bethesda games. I should be teaching Deacon the lessons. But thats just icing on the cake. I play survival. Everytime I'm out with Deacon trying to get that affection, I'll sneak around with my nice quiet modded out hunting rifle, here a shot or two from behind me, turn around and see Deacon running straight for me with a deathclaw/behemoth or a pack of bloatflies/stingwings/dogs or whatever right on top of me. Then I'm back waking up at the last settlement to realize im not playing fallout 4, I'm Leo in Inception in a bad dream within a bad dream within a bad dream within a bad dream etc...

One time, I got a face change and was a girl for a few months. You should've seen the looks back at HQ.

No one likes Deacon. Thats why i locked him alone in the Covenant. :cgrazz:

I thought deacon was a funny as ♥♥♥♥.. my detective build gave him the third degree half the time but they're cool.

My detective likes honesty.. you can imagine deacon got on his nerves a lot.

Unfortunately the AI for almost all companions turns it into babysitting rather than co-adventuring, I really only stay with them to get their perks.

Deacon was easier than the others since his Sneak is great. How can anyone hate someone that has a pompadour and sunglasses?

You only have to be with Deacon once, in Tradecraft. Why use him after that if you don't like him?

his perk you get is pretty key for a sneaky build. well, maybe not key, but its a nice bonus for sure.

agreed, but even with his supposed sneak ability, he drew in aggro more than any other companion. worst of all is he couldnt deal with them himself. whenever that happened when i had cait. mccready, hancock, valentine... even piper could at least knock out any adds they pick up. as long as it was just bugs or the occasional rust devil/raider group

I didn't say me. These people still go with Deacon because deep down, they know he's the best companion. After Nick, that is

Agreed, even with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ companion perk Nick is easily the best companion in the game.. wish his default weapon wasn't a pipe revolver though

I like hancock and mccready the best since with my own experience they can handle their ♥♥♥♥. though that can be aggrivating because they steal xp sometimes.

I can't deny that cloak and dagger perk though.
