If you dont want to use a manager that is fkn free and refuse to write stuff down why should we care? To get an answer someone wold have to download the mods see where they go and guess you didn't put tem in the wrong folder which you probably did
Mod managers are critical to more than the most basic modding because they help manager mod overwrites, and will help you correctly uninstall mods for removal or upgrade.
If you cannot bear to use a mod manager, then every time you remove a mod you need to go back into the download for that mod to see all the files it added and remove all of them. You should also keep notes whenever your mods overwrite someone elses file so that you can place those files back in from the other mod than needs them.
In any event, Viper has kindly pointed out the file you probably forgot to delete.
