the chinese assault rifle the best weapon mod? maybe by your opinion. it is a fact that the Defense Gun and the PTRS-41 are the best gun mods. especially the defense gun. its a cool looking smg (moddable to look like the japanese type 100 smg) and it doesnt screw balance too much. its basically a beautiful starter gun, much like the pipe guns.

eitherway, i can suggest you a ton of mods you should download. the best way to find out what you like or not is to go through the nexus. True eyes, bobble girls, a spongebob squarepants 'a promotion?!' level up sound :P almost everything is imaginable in the world of fallout.

I said "commonly tought". Sorry not native english. Custom textures beautifull textures, not OP, lore friendly, soft listing that does not require mergings, a crapton of modifications... Does not obstruct the screen like the vanilla Assault Rifle... What to say.

The PTRS-41 (not D) is my favourite weapon, but it can really screw the balance, it's massively overpowered, so it better to get it after your enemies have leveled some, and requires difficulty plus mods.

To my personal tastes, the defense gun is just another junk gun.

Also your "it is in fact the best gun" is a way more absolute and personal suggestion than my "commonly tought".

it sure is strong. i mostly play on very hard, and (atleast the .50cal) ammo is hard to scavange, even from traders. they cost alot of caps, that is its balance. plus, enemies can use these weapons. i downloaded the weapon, and the first raider boss i fought had this weapon, and he took me out at 100 meters and blew my leg of XD ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my pants and falling in love with that weapon at the same time.

lets see, the mods that i endorse.

the DKS-501 sniper rifle (the fallout 3 snipah)
fallout texture overhaul stars (shiny stars at night)
radiant birds (make birds louder, creates spookier environment around crows)
ptrs-41
defense gun
the pipe shotgun (for your pipe loving, raiders will use single shot version, but it can be extended to 4 barrels!!!!)
louder rainy sound (makes rain louder, more realistic this way)
cinematic sounds - explosions (make the explosions more hollywood like, but also better at the same time)
enhanced blood textures (since bethesda wants to keep the gore low, this brings gore up!)
True Storms: Wasteland Edition (this is also a very well done mod. it makes the seasons of the day more realistic, and adds very cool weather effects)
vivid fallout - landscapes (if you arnt that FPS hungry, this mod enhances the ground textures all around you)
spongebob squaremants-a promotion-level up sound (for funsies)
waterworld - blue and translucent water (this actually wont hit FPS that much, it makes water more realistic)
The eyes of beauty fallout edition (gives more realistic and beautiful types of eyes, i even donated 10 bucks to this guy for his work of art, i really appreciated his work)

and these are just a few of the mods that i use, but i would say that these make your game alot better. there are so many mods out there, i just cant install all of them :P

also, if you are a little bit of a pervert, dont mind downloading the bobble girl and vault girl perk tree! those are also really well done.

there are all installed through the Nexus Mod Manager. a great tool from the nexus modsite that keeps everything in check :)

These seem really good, i would like to hear more!

If you wan't a background for your pipboy and your a bit of a pervert get the vault meat pipboy background. It hjas some.... other options. If you don't want straight up porn, DON'T download the Nipboy version.

Yes, first time I was shot by one of these beasts my X-01 Mk VI Torso got destroyed and I was left with 25% health, onlt with one shot.

That gun is really awesome. I cannot resist making myself a Black Shark 20mm Hispano Tandem HEAT. 1400 raw dmg, multiply x4.3 on a sneak attack. It holds 45 bullets, has 650+ range, a shield with targeting hud, and a suppressor that also is a muzzle brake...
The gun and the bullet can be crafted at chem station. You only need less than 2000 caps and a couple hundred 5mm bullets. You can have very early.

This is why i suggest caution: after you try it you fall in love, but it can really unbalance things.

This mod makes every enemy level with your level. Before lvl 25 you don't notice any difference, but after lvl 50 you have everything at your level. Try entering Ubris Comics at lvl 66 like I did yesterday. All the ghouls were lvl 66 and stormed me as soon as i stepped in. That is where the Simonov felt necessary.
