Ada to tough
Started Automatron quest at level 20. My problem is I took Ada on as a companion and she is killing Super Mutants single handidly as I am still doing other quests at the same time. Can I send her somewhere and use another companion till I decide to do Automatron itself.

Thank you. I did not want to mess up the quest by sending her away.

Just remeber to bring ADA on the last Robotron quest. In that quest you don't need her, you need any robot, but she is definitly suggested, at max powerfull outfit. And also bring as many robot repair kits as you have, ADA will get destroyed many times.

Also bring a PA, the most ridicolous overpowered gun you can, and a lot of drugs.

You don't actually need to bring her on any of the quests. You can leave her at a settlement and do the quests, then return to her at a settlement to progress each time. You can also equip your own Automatron (I don't believe Codsworth can?) with what you need to access the final quest.

Actually I just went back to a save before activating the Automatron. It seems to completelly dominate the game after being activated. Robots are attacking me constantly. I am considering deactivating the DLC till I am ready to do it.

Yup, the Rust Devils tend to attack you relentlessly, and worse, are often bugged out and don't respond correctly. You will often return to settlements like Sanctuary to notice that they are showing up in large numbers, yet sitting around doing nothing and never end up attacking until you attack them first.

Yes, it is annoying. Also, you will find that robots and rust devils show up when you have other encounters. For example, meet a supermutant patrol and a group of robots will also appear. Get attacked by gunners, and out of nowhere robots are also in the fray. The more the merrier one might say but it tends to get annoying how it dominates the game until you complete the quest.

If you think Ada is too OP you can also change her loadout at the robot workbench. Give her crappier weapons.

Good suggestion!

Ada gets really ridiculous when you exchange her parts for Sentry bot. Saw her gun down Deathclaw before it could get close to me once.

I currently have her equipped as a melee shredder, and I play a sort of minigame to see if I can gun down everything before she shreds them to pieces.
