Vim! Paint Schematic for Power Armor...wtf?
So I got the schematics for these sweet paint jobs during a Far Harbor quest. To my horror, it seems that you can only apply this paint job to T-51 armor.

Who the hell was using T-51 armor or less by the time Far Harbor came out in the first place? A small minority I would imagine. What is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point in that? This is a paid DLC (a rather expensive one) and I don't see why there should be such a huge restriction on a very appealing new feature.

Man just use the modle T-51 E suit it works fine and looks cool.

It is a lore reason, I doubt they would give a suit of X-01 to a company for sdvertising purposes.

There were already a few paint jobs in the game that were exclusive to one set of power armor. I don't see anything wrong with it, and honestly the T-51 armor is still just as functional/viable as the other sets when it is fully upgraded to the highest tier.

So you're telling me that lore is the reason why we cannot paint a different model of power armor?

Some people so hell bent on making excuses for Bethesda.

Why is it the paint jobs for the various factions are restricted to a specific power armor model? Why Why Why :(

Did you read anything other than the word 'lore' in that sentence?

Uhh, dude, would you lend a friend your car or your whole house?

Do you know how expensive the X-01 is, compared to the T-51?
Because that's what he meant by "lore".

Because if you know at all how Texturing works, you'd know you can't just apply the same texture to a differently shaped object and have it look how you'd expect it to.

Now, whether one of the larger AAA game companies should have took the time to do that, that's another discussion.

There was a wee bit of sarcasm in my post >.< To your point, Hot Rod paint jobs ie; Flames and Sharks, are not restricted.

I paid $25 and find out I can put VIM paint on my X-01 Power Armor! Waaagh! I want my money back! Waaagh!

I was going to answer your first point but you already did it with your second one ;)

Far Harbor is a good DLC, I don't want my money back...where did I say I want my money back?

Vim? Vim? I'm still irritated that there's no Brotherhood paintjob for the T-51. I mean, hello!
Also, Star Paladins and Sentinels don't spawn with the correct rank paint. I mean what is this? Some sort of *snort* magic power armour?

Bethesda worst developer 2016! Because of paint. PAAAAINT. WHERE'S MY PAINT.

Well for one thing like people said its for lore reasons.

T60 armor just came out and it would have taken time to get paintings for the armor and X01 armor never existed until after the war because its Enclave made armor.'

As for T45, XDDDDDD REALLY? THAT ARMOR IS PRETTY MUCH CRAP!!

I can also appreciate that the X-01 would be hell to patten paint, since it has lots of rises and inclines.

But T51/45 was pretty much the staple of the lore, X-01 is very rare because it was only developed much, much later.
