Kellogg's Outfit Fallout 4 Amour

Killing Kellogg and taking his armor you're pretty much set for the game and can play in the amour for the rest of the game. I got this armor almost 10 levels ago defeating Kellogg and taking his pistol too. His gear is enough to get you through anything but radiation and that's a easy pop pill; Rad-X.

It was a early mission, I avoided the main quest after that because I was getting through it way to quick and wasn't even trying hard. He was a fight don't get me wrong, but after 10 tries to kill him I got his stuff and was set for life.

What am I doing wrong?

Difficulty is Normal

I'm starting to get a lot of legendary items to nearly level 30. I feel like level 30 is just now getting into the game with gear and stuff. I must admit that most of my gameplay has been with a companion so perhaps that is my own failing. I don't know, just seems like Kellogg's Outfit shouldn't be so early in the quest line.

Kellogg's armor is worthless but his pistol is quite alright. Don't get the ballistic weave from the railroad or you'll have real reason to talk about the best armor in the game.

Kellogs armor is crap to be honest. Any leather/metal armor would suffice over that.

Almost level 30 and this thing holds up great, but if this armor is crap lol I can't imagine how much better stuff gets. That's kinda awesome but seems like I'll need to up the difficulty too.

The Railroad Armored Coat Mk. V is, IMO, the only real acceptable substitute for proper armor. A full set of Combat or Synth Armor would put Kellogg's Outfit to shame.

And if you unlock Ballistic Weave with the Railroad then a set of ballistic weave military fatigues with combat or synth armor over it far outclasses any outfit in the game.

Ballistic underwear plus Marine Armor from Far Harbor is pretty good :)

get a full set of sentinel legendary armour instead.

they all give 15% damage reduction and stack.

you can get 90% with 2legs 2arms helmet and chestplate.

equip a wepon with sentinel such as sentinels baton and you have 100% damage reduction.
