If you have the explosives perk maxed out then there is no question - Kiloton Rifle owns. You can use it effectively even against enemies who regenerate from radiation, whereas the Radical Conversion could potentially be next to useless or actually heal the enemies.

If I correctly remember the approximate % damage boost that ends up being, even if you have your rifle modded for maximum single shot damage without explosive perks that will be about as good or worse than explosives, even without factoring in that the explosive damage can end up hitting more than one body part at once to deal more damaage. So explosive all the way.

Have anyone compared killaton or radical conversion with the Overseer's Guardian?
