and the damage you'd have then would be around 4000+ on stealth attacks
If you go full stealth you can get that Railroad pistol and the AP regen perks eventually and just headshot people nonstop without them noticing you
i would like them to realistally look around like headless chickens and take cover where ever they can find it.. not watch their friend die and instantly see the invisible dude a town over.
i'm even using a suppressed 2shot sniper rifle. i'm in the [danger] after my second shot. and each situation i'm well over 50ft. (using objective markers as reference, they're always over 50)
2) there's a perk for that. Holding your breath really helps too.
3) You aren't doing you're full damage, you never will because enemies have resistances to damage types.
4) I'm playing stealth and having a lot of fun doing it. No problem here.
It's perfectly reasonable for them to send out a little probing fire in your approximate direction (there's often an obvious direction to look, based on the victim's position and on who wasn't shot...) and to try to flush you out.
1. Collect all the U.S. Covert Operations Manuals. They'll all give you a stealth bonus.
2. Invest in Agility. If your Agility is low, that might be the problem.
3. Invest in Agility's Sneak perk. This perk will increase your ability to sneak, as the name suggests.
I had this same problem but once I got more levels, stealth works fine for me, almost like it was in Skyrim.
And to make sure we are on the same page: stealth is not invisibility. And some enemies notice stealth way better than others, notably machines. My most dreaded trap are the lights which follow you, since they break stealth for good.
-Hold alt to steady your aim
-Attach silencers, and if you can't put them on your weapon yet then be sure to move around after firing
-Weak points (head usually) will double the damage again
-You still get sneak attack bonus damage until they swap to DANGER under most circumstances.
-VATS crits disregard the hit odds and always hit unless the target moves behind total cover between the shot being fired and hitting.
Until you shoot them out!
