Cook all option
Is there a way to cook all of the same meat you have? Sometimes I encounter a pack of dogs and have 20+ of their meat and it's quite annoying to click E 20 times.

Sadly no there is not. Bethesda is trying to give you carpel tunnel.

In Fallout 3 there was this molerat machine, which produced some very useful molerat steaks, but it was such a pain to use because you had to hit about three buttons to cook each piece. Someone made a mod that cooked them all at once, I'm sure it could be done for FO 4.

Clearly you don't quite understand the predicament when you have to cook more then 1 thing and 20+ of the same thing.

Do you want to see my fridge I have in Sanctuary? It's stocked with tons of meat and purified water and I use it alot more then I use stimpacks to heal myself.

it would be tough to program a massive microwave program, since there are different recipes using the same meats as a base.

For crafting a lot of a single item (usually Jet) I found that if I alternated between hitting E and the Enter key that I could craft at a much faster pace. Still awkward, but it sped up the process. Once I started buying shipments of fertilizer from Connie Abernathy then I bankrolled myself by crafting literally hundreds and hundreds of Jet to sell at vendors.

Who says anything about farming? In all the 90 hours I've played I've hardly progressed the story and I've just been wandering around. I've got plenty of fruits and veggies and I've got the extra meat perk. I encounter plenty of enemies carrying squirrel bits or other types of food and I hardly throw it away because it can heal and because I've got a ton of it, I hardly need the stim packs.

Regardless of what I have, or don't have in-game, it's not really fun to press E a thousand times when there could be a simple "craft-all" option.

That doesn't really matter, you can still have craft all, craft 20 or craft one. Other then that, you can just look for what you want to have instead of crafting the first thing that you see.

peoples lack of imagination in this game is Impressive...
freeroaming alone nets you hundreds of pieces of meat, fruit and dirty water.
freeroam with mods is basically a whole different game compared to vanilla.

as for the batch cooking,, until theres a mod for it i guess the only easy way to do it is a turbo hotkey on a keyboard or another input device.
*press left pedal to cook @ a rate of 1 every 0.033 seconds...* lol.

You'd have to modify the crafting script to cook with an array and not a single item

@chris.boney @Inardesco

I free roamed for double the time as you but never collected "tons of meat", and never left it behind. I guess it's because I played Survival and actually used it.

Would be nice if we could assign a settler to a crafting station and be able to "trade" crafted items from them - the quantity of which would be dictated by available raw materials in the workshop's inventory.
