Faraday and three storage drives

I found 3 storage drives, but Faraday only recognizes that I have 2. I apparently don't have a conversation option to scream at top of my lungs "NO dip sheet, I am handing you three, can you not count?"
There's a locked crate there, and one of my responses is sort of like "maybe it's in that crate". Is this bugged, or am I doing it wrong? Faraday acts funny though when he says something like, "Ok, i'll take 2, just forget we ever spoke of 3" or something like that.

Try talking to some npcs in Acadia...you will find your answers.

Same thing happened to me. I forgot about that one and I still have the extra Drive.
