Far Harbor Unmarked Quest Speculation **minor spoilers**
So.. for those who've been getting around the island you've probably come across Cranberry island, directly south of Far Harbor. If you had a good look around you might have noticed the generators, and even found a map encouraging you to repair and connect them. Of course once you manage this you unlock a faulty war bunker filled with named ghouls, along with a key to a storage shed filled with all sorts of rare loot goodies. But ff you've looked more closely you'll notice that these ghouls or rather the people they used to be featured in that map author's journal entries, found about cranberry island.

This is all very well and good except Eliza isn't found among her family, and no sign of her or her remains can be found anywhere on this island. In fact, her last entry dated the night before the great war details her journey to far harbor for a Halloween party. Unfortunately the trail goes cold here, but if you look at the 7th journal entry I feel like there's something more to be found. In particular the names and location mentioned. It makes me feel like there's some other collection of named ghouls and maybe even another sweet loot room, somewhere near far harbor, but otherwise obscured.

I really enjoyed this unmarked quest so Eliza's unresolved fate is bugging me quite a lot. Especially considering how much Far Harbor made me out to be a great detective. I don't want to accept I've been handed a mystery with no answers.

I'm posting this not only to get some speculation happening but also some investigation. If anyone has any ideas as to what becomes of Eliza I'd love for them to comment it here..
Anyway, thanks for reading.

There is a video about it on youtube. You have to fallow the power lines then get the parts and fix the genrators. Then you can open a store room with tuns of stuff.

Yeah I did a headcount and theres defnitely not enough people in that Bunker
Nathan was missing and so was Eliza, I assumed Eliza was cut out because she's a child and ESRB would ahve a problem with that kind of stuff.

But, I got the stash and it was a welcomed distraction from exploring the island, fun little unmarked quest that required me to sit up in my chair and use my brain, if only for an hour.

Well, immediately opposite the hut with the bound skeleton is a bench with a male skeleton (man's suit, trilby hat), and next to him is a note "Love Letter to Bridget"

Now, if we can find Bridget, and show that she was Nathan's lover, then we've nailed it.

I guess I just wanted to see if there was an answer for Eliza's fate

I think it's designed to be unwritten and loose ended

I was running around near the cinema and found a ruined house decked out for a halloween party. I didn't have *that* in mind, but it's notable because I'm pretty sure there's a fresh skeleton (red) in the attic behind an opened up Nuka Cola machine. Like someone didn't heed a "High Voltage" warning...

I don't think I'll find Eliza around though, Halloween wasn't for another week. She's probably somewhere around the island.

Narrowing down what we were given in the 7th journal, it is only possible for Eliza to be on the main Island, as the Halloween party was overnight, and her mom (who took her to the party), was in the bunker without Eliza. I believe that the events happened in this order: Eliza's mom brought her to the party, Eliza's mom returned to Cranberry Island, and finally the bombs fell the next morning. These bombs left the rest of the family except for Nathan (?), Eliza (?), and Grandpa (deceased) within the faulty bunker. Thinking about it, if we were to find Eliza or Nathan at this point, they would likely be skeletons. Honestly, this comment probably didn't contribute anything that wasn't already known, but rather is here to provide a detailed background to what happened. (Also, Nathan's story is honestly driving me even more insane than Eliza's, due to the total lack of information about him.

Nathan's her brother, there's a note to him in the game. He's also a class A slacker, as all the stuff you find later was supposed to be moved to the bunker, with a warning not to pawn the work off to his little bro (again).

They're definitely dead, oh yeah. But on strings of clues like this there's usually an endpoint of *some* kind. I'm trying and totally failing to find the house with the party decorations.

Seems a little odd to be having a halloween party a week before halloween though, and that last journal entry is, if memory serves, written about in future tense. They may all still be around Cranberry Island, but well hidden (or in plain sight).

There are given names in the journal, but I haven't matched them to anything yet. Only storylines that I've had that success with are the bowling alley and Vim plant. At some point I'll find a male corpse in a wheelchair... and talk about the story when I do.

There's also a named... er, corpse, that's been unfound and unwiki'd so far, dragged up by finding the terminal entries in FO4edit and discovering an indirect positive reference in terminal entries I *have* found.

FO4... it's never all about questing or settling.

I found a secret bunker [edit, Armory) in far harbor dlc. Unmarked Location.
It's undernearh a fuel station, It has loot, weapons bench, chem station, terminal with story. 2 no-reset containers, no occupants, it's clean and tidy and well lit inside. No bed though. It's in the south near Ruined Church. Closest neighbors (were) Supermutants. they have no bed either.

Sadly the note isn't in future tense, just to confuse us a little more. It should also be noted that "Bar Harbor" (The location mentioned for the Halloween party) is an actual location just outside of the settled Far Harbor. Sadly, this location isn't accessible, as the doors and windows are boarded up.

I think I found Nathan Gibbons. I'm not covering, since this entire thread is spoilery...

Eliza's Journal #2, March 2, 2077 "Nathan was out by the output pipes again, over by Grandpa's"

Well...

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=695645442

That would leave Eliza the only unaccounted for, and re-reading Journal 7 she would have been off in Bar Harbor when the bombs fell, *if* she was taken out there. Nathan was MIA and 'mom' (Victoria) was going to take her, but Victoria was present as a ghoul so she either returned alone, or never left.

Nathan may have already been dead, caught in a loose net snagged in the output pipe.

I *still* can't find that house again that had the Nuka Cola machine upstairs...

I didn't have the capture available when hunting tonight, going to have to make sure I have it available next run since the HUD could clue me in to where I was. I'm not certain it's the party house but it is the only one I've seen a halloween banner in, and wasn't looking for clues to this bit. Heck, I'm not even certain it counts as Bar Harbor.

BTW pre-war documents are all going to be "Bar Harbor" for most of the northeastern section of the main island; it only morphed into 'Far Harbor' because of the damaged 'Bar Harbor' sign at the pier.

You say that but i found this sign at the oceanarium, the F seems to be an actual intact F.. (oversight by the devs?) http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/450736996699454655/F85DD241C346E7E2B50333E4E427FFED6DCEB7F4/

I checked all the ruined houses i could in Ruined Bar Harbor.

Nothing. Not even a hint of what happened.Maybe i missed something somewhere.

Ok, I sorted out what I saw earlier.... a bit mixed up in my head, but it's all around the Waves Crest Orphanage (east of Brook's Head lighthouse).

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=695787656

And just as unfortunately, it's all inconclusive... the halloween decorations I saw appear to be for the benefit of very young children (cribs present) and are in a different house from the Nuka Cola machine accident. There's a wierd thing in one house though, an intact photo with a hubflower in a display case; photo appears to be of a canal/creek bank(the kind you'd find in Britain) from the deck of a boat. No idea, only other intact photo I've found was on a desk at Rayburn Point.

Waves Crest *is* right across an isthmus from Cranberry Island, and has businesses and a bus station. Good place to start hunting back up the island for evidence of Eliza, because it doesn't make a lot of sense to go anywhere else when, as Victoria, you can just drop your daughter on shore to catch a bus wherever she needs to go.

halloween house is SW of orphanage. Between is a large alcove under the road with a levelled Angler and a soldier with bags. May have a hermit crab around too, be alert.

Found in sunken boat off Huntress Island with nearby skel; perhaps Nathan saw something he shouldn't have? There's a LOT of cash around...

unrelated; "Zeke's Safe" on a wrecked boat, with Zeke-like stuff and near a ruined house.

Zeke doesn't make any new comments relating to FH.... but is the cool cat slipping us a line about his origins?
