Need help with supply lines
Hello, i've played this game for ages now and i have a few settlements and would like to get supply lines but i can't seem to figure out how to establish them, i got the local leader perk and all, but when i go up to a settler it doesn't give me the option to do the supply line, i've looked it up and everything should be fine, anyone else had this and is there a possible fix ? thank you

Go into construction mode by interacting with a red workbench or holding down the "V" button.

While in construction mode, approach the settler you wish to turn into a provisioner. Then hit "Q".

This will bring up a list of all of the other settlements you have established. The settlement you're currently in will become linked to whatever settlement you select from that list.
You're saying you can't see "Q - Supply Line" in the bottom bar while looking at the target NPC in workshop mode? Default key to turn a settler into a provisioner is Q while looking at them.

Like HoroSaga said.. manipulation of settlers happens in build mode, whether its assigning them to a job, a supply route or moving them to a different settlement.

Yes, it will work. When you set up a supply line between a settlement in the Commonwealth and a settlement in Far Harbor, the provisioner will basically just walk across the world map until they reach the docks (where your boat is), then they'll turn around and walk back to the settlement they just came from.

It looks a little silly, but it works. I have all of my Far Harbor settlements linked to my main settlement back in the Commonwealth.

If you are in build mode when you cursor over them you should get a tooltip telling you their assignment status and job icons. Hitting Q while they are selected in build mode should bring up a list of settlements you control that you want them to establish a route to. If you are doing all that and not seeing that result then something is wrong and idk what to tell you.

Thank you for the help, i found a post on reddit, the issue was: my local leader perk was glitched and the commands listed there helped

Make sure that you're trying to assign the job to a generic settler. You won't be able to give the job to any "Named" settler. If you're trying to set up a supply line going out of Sanctuary, for example, you won't be able to give the job to Jun Long, Marcy Long, Mama Murphy, or Sturges. All of them are "special" settlers who cannot be given any job or order that would require them to leave Sanctuary.

EDIT - Ah, alright. Glad to hear that you found the source of your problem.
