Bobble Head Stand

I put by bobble heads on the stand in Vault 81 and I'm wondering if their effects only work if you have them on you and if they work from the moment you get them.

Once you pick them up the effect is permanent, and the bobblehead itself can be stored or sold or whatever. Same with magazines.

Yes and even big comic book shelves.

No, I just leave beds wherever and make sure the settlers have enough defense, food and water, to stop them from complaining.
