Trouble with Shipbreaker
Sooo, I finished all the quests in Far Harbor, except one.

Shipbreaker.

That stupid, mutated mantis-shrimp manages to hide from me, no matter how close my Pip-Boy says I am (99,83% for crying out loud!!!). I mean, seriously, I must standing on it´s non existent toes but nope, nothing to see here peeps.

After I first got the quest, I went to Longfellow as the optional step in the quest, than went back only to have a message flash that "Shipbreaker left the area" or something like this but after a while, I managed to find the signal again (it is not highlighted in my Pip-Boy but greyed out but I still can receive it).

Anyone else had that problem? Is this a bug? Did Shipbreaker glitch into the ground an now I am forever unable to finish that particulat quest?

EDIT: In the end I had to use the command to skip the "Kill Shipbreaker" part since I could not spawn him in any way. At least the quest is finished now.^^

I have this is exact problem, I can't find a solution. If someone can provide a the Shipbreaker's console ID there might be a way to fix it using the console

Think I had the same issue, listening to radio, then skipping to do other things, shipbreaker radio turning grey, but can be followed, and at signal 99% point...no Shipbreaker to be found.
Could see that I was at stage 100 (see Scarecrow post above) using
getstage DLC03WorkshopRadiantOwned05

For me however it worked by using disable/enable of shipbreaker.
Shipbreaker id 03040c3a found with
showquestvars DLC03WorkshopRadiantOwned05
( think everyone has the same 03 part since it's dlc3, perhaps different if you got mods?)

then I used the following commands
prid 03040c3a
disable
enable

After killing him it seemed to work, quest moved on and I had to talk to Longfellow.
( technically it's the same endresult as previous mentioned setstage, but I wanted to see and kill Shipbreaker.... the random legendary loot I got was junk though, some armor piece I'll never use )

Note, first time I tried this...I stood at the signal 99% point and Shipbreaker spawned next to me....can't recommend that ;)

This might help, found it on another thread

I've tried that, doesn't work. Just tried the method I posted above, and it fixed it for me. Just type in the the 3 commands listed
prid 03040c3a
disable
enable
on after another, and it will spawn him in

I waited for several in-gamer month, that should have refreshed the cell over and over and still no Shipbreaker. :(

Hmm, either I am doing something wrong or something else. I tried using these commands but all I got is te message that "file is not saved" or "not found in this cell".

I haven't even picked up its radio signal yet.
Mean Green May 23, 2016 @ 7:20am
Had the exact same problem as OP but the console commands
prid 03040c3a
disable
enable
as per above fixed it. Now it's time for Bethesda to fix it too. ;)
Thanx!

Same worked for me, but oddly I had to actually run the showquestvars command first, THEN do the prid command etc.

ID for Shipbreaker was even the same, but I finally gave up, ran the command to find it since I thought mine would be different, realized it wasn't, and did the other 3 commands and bam, there he was lol.

I kept getting some "invalid object reference" for his ID before. Weird o.O

I would still be able to get achievements after I use the console to spawn him right.... O-o Same problem, could not find the bloody shrimp like thing. .

i just started the darn quest an hour ago and when it got to 70.00 percent... it stopped working
Mr_ED_AZ May 22, 2017 @ 4:24pm
This took me forever as I thought I bugged it by ignoring the signal but it turns out I hadn't. The way I finally got it by starting at Far Harbor and following the coast northward. I finally got the signal and by continuing north up the coast and found him due east of Dalton Farms and due north of the Visitor Center on the coast. Also I did have Longfellow as a companion, so I don't know if that helped trigger the quest. Since he is random spawn you just have to circle the island coast. Don't remember the thread I found this advice at or I would have added the link. Your level when you find him will escalate the battle when you find him. It 4/6 shots from a legendary Fat Boy and using VATS to kill him. You should pick up 1 legendary piece from him plus the harpoon gun from Longfellow. GOOD HUNTING! Using the console commands might work but you have to be at one of the spawn sites.

I tried all of these solutions but none of them worked.

I did the:

prid 03040c3a
disable
enable

but nothing happened... so I tried the other solutions. Finally went with

player.moveto 03040c3a

and it fast traveled me right to him. I hope this helps someone in the future.
