Best Left Forgotten SAVE DURING PUZZLES
During the quest "Best Left Forgotten" from the Far Harbor DLC, there is a series of puzzles that take a lot of time to complete because of the poor controls. The game also conveniently stops autosaving during this sequence, so if say, your game crashes when you are nearly done with the last puzzle, ♥♥♥♥ you. Just ♥♥♥♥ you.

I'm trying to see if I can getaway with `completequest #id - can't stand the thought of another 45 minutes of space jumping and repeatedly trying to position blocks.

Just die, back out the puzzle and save. Re-enter puzzle and everything is how it was when you left. I'm sure it tells you this at the beginning. Also note, you only have to complete the first 3 to progress the story, the last 2 are for loot. Also remember that you can store all the blocks in your inventory which makes it so much easier.

You only need 2 blocks to cross any gap, just put 2 down, move to the end then pick up the one behind you, rinse repeat, this only really matters on the last puzzle.

It does mention that you can back out at any time and resume progress, I just didn't notice it wasn't autosaving like normal. Not too bad to redo the first three though. I thought all 5 were necessary.

You need to do #5 only if you want the free armor set (not legendary) and the wet suit. I forgot what you get from #4, though.

You can buy all the pieces (except the helm I'm told) from Kane at the Nucleus, too, although maybe not all at once.

After torturing myself through that sequence I am opting to do exactly that next time :)

I completed the first 3. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated doing that ♥♥♥♥ so I just quit the game after I did 3--I was expecting to be done. Now I have to do it all again to progress the story. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

This an old post.
Oki here is the console commands to complete all stages, use the uparrow key to change the numbers or save as a .bat file using a text editor, eg dima.bat and put in in the same directory as fallout 4 .exe

setstage dlc03mq04 150
setstage dlc03mq04 250
setstage dlc03mq04 350
setstage dlc03mq04 450
setstage dlc03mq04 550

Hope this helps if you get stuck.
