Investigate Nakano residence - stuck.

I have listened to Kusumi's projects - Holotapes, kitchen, lamp, radio and TV.
Now what? In a video I watched Mrs. Nakano talks about a boathouse and that is where the investigating continues. I did not get this info from her.
Asking her for more info I get "persuasion attempt failed"
I increased my charisma to +15 but still get this message.
This needs to be sorted before I can progress with this DLC.
Anyone had the same problem?

I had this happen too. After you listen to all of the tapes, go back and talk to the Nakanos. Quest should update then.

There's a note/diary upstairs that will direct you to the boathouse.

I have been upstairs many times. Went again after reading your post. No note or diary there. I checked every piece of paper on the floor, nothing.
After speaking to them the first time an optional quest was received to speak to them again as well as investigating the house. Maybe I should have first investigated then spoke to them. I spoke to them again first.

After speaking to them the first time an optional quest was received to speak to them again as well as investigating the house. Maybe I should have first investigated then spoke to them. I spoke to them again first.

I want to say its on a desk/bookshelf behind a radio (near a window?). It was really easy to miss.

I'm at work so I can't confirm the exact position.

OK. I went to the upstairs window and simply pointing the mouse at the window frame brought up "Kusumi's Journal" Reading it I am now directed to the boathouse.
I got a message that a settlement is under attack but I don't suppose one can fast travel to this location as it is not yet shown on the map.

Just go and see if you can get the boathouse safe key in the picture on the table inside the boathouse.
