this location would be amazing for a settlement, i have no idea why they did not make it a settlement because it is so open and there is so much room

yea thier is mods to turn places into settlements, But problem with that is you have to deal with the enemys that spawn thier all the time when the cell resets

Vanilla settlements don't have that problem

That is the only reason I went there but. The signal is the only thing working there. May be it could be changed with an update.

Like I said before, Beth doesn't like us having nice things. It's actually a good place for a settlement so they have to slap our hand and tell us no then point toward that ♥♥♥♥ farm on the northern part of the island.

It seems like there should have been more going on there, and I searched for a long time looking for a workshop or at least something.

It did seem like it was intended for more. They went to a lot of trouble for a little 'color'.

You have the CK, its pretty easy to make it a proper settlement (including removing enemy spawn).

I really get the impression that this location is something Bethesda abandoned during production. As others have pointed out, it's perfect for so many things, and there's obviously a lot of work gone into it. I think it was probably meant to be a quest hub, but time / financial constraints meant they gave up on it.

Did anyone find the radio transmitter, I searched for ages but couldn't. Usually they're a sign for a quest of some minor sort.

I think there's one just north of the Nucleus area?

I can't imagine with the amount of radiant defense quests I suffer in teh commonwealth, having more than 4 remote settlements with much worse attackers popping up while I'm trying to do something else a few hundred miles away.

That's probably the reason for the limitation... that and overall download size.
