Missing Decoder Relay in DiMA Memory 5
It is impossible for me to finish the puzzle in DiMA's 5th memory because a Decoder Relay block that is supposed to be there isn't there. I restarted from a save so the puzzle was fresh and went stp-by-step alongside a video that showed how to solve it. When you get to the rear-center platform, there is supposed to be a Decoder Relay there. But in my game there isn't. The puzzle requires 7 relays and I only get 6. Is there a fix or a console command for this?

How do I power up the computer for it?

Yeah i had the same problem, there's also a bug that allows you to place blocks behind the fireawall but can't retrieve them. So i lost one of my relays while experimenting.

Also to power the terminal there's a room behind where you have a central power switch between the two databanks.

I was struggling with the fifth puzzle because I to only got 6 relays instead of 7.
I gave the fifth puzzle the middle finger and went on without finishing it.

When I completed memory 5 I had one of the relays left over. It's definitely possible to do it with only 6.

He's right, there's a community guide dedication to it.

As for my problem, i had to toggle noclip in order to sovle it, its a great time saver on these levels and helps to survey the area

I had this problem after I placed 2 of my decoder relays inside of other blocks. They are tough to get back that way, if you know where they are. If you don't even know where they are, it's harder. So...

~ to open the console
type: player.placeatme 03004F2B
hit enter and ~ to close console.

Now you are standing on a brand new shiny decoder relay.

Check the load order of your DLC the 03 in the number should be the number the DLC is in the load order. Then again updates and changes since this post originated could have changed something.

just in case people are struggling, copied below from another post
"I never did end up finding it but theres another way to get around it. If you set up 5 of those sentry things or whatever right in front of the last firewall they will just shoot right through it."

after it kills a few of those red things, the wall disappeared!

Even with the console commands giving me unlimited code blocks and sentries, this was stumping me. Thanks, CrusaderKnight! This worked like a charm!

I created a 3x4 "assault wall" of sentries - 3 blocks tall & 4 blocks wide - 3 blocks out from and parallel to the face of that main firewall of the last data center. They shot their way through after roughly 6 to 8 vollies or so... certainly quick enough that I hadn't yet finished with the top row of the "assault wall" yet!

Specifically, here's how I built the assault wall:

  1. Line up 4 sentries facing that last firewall (that contains the data center for the last memory) on the "ground" level (aka the same level as a bridge extending directly backwards from the spot where you begin - the level your robots start off on), I call "level 0"
    • Directly on top of each block with a sentry, place another block such that the new level (level 1) is adjacent to level 0
    • Set another row of sentries atop the row of blocks on level 1
    • Create another occluding row of blocks atop the sentries on level 1 - this is the foundation for level 2.
    • Place another row of sentries for level 2 atop the blocks you just placed
    • You should now have what looks like a wall 2 blocks tall and 4 blocks across with 4 sentries at the top; although in reality, each of the two walled levels contain a hidden row of sentries.
  2. Take the blocks from level 1 and place them atop level 2, so you now have a floating 2x4 wall with apparent sentries underneath
  3. Add another row of 4 sentries on top.
  4. Recycling the same blocks you laid for levels 1 & 2, repeat until your "assault wall" is the desired height.

While I did use the console to grant a (basically) unlimited supply of blocks and sentries, there are plenty of resources available on that specific map to build an assault wall without access to the console.

I know it's 7 years old, but for anyone who stumbles across this it's quite easy. If you set two relays aimed into each other, it creates an infinite beam. Once you create the infinite beam in the right spot, just go retrieve the other relays and finish the circuit. You're essentially doing it with 4 relays. I figured this out myself after accidentally aiming two into each other.

Note: the moment you set a relay into the infinite beam, the infinite beam goes away, so make sure the relay you place inside the infinite beam is the last one you place.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
