Rite of passage bugged?

Tells me to kill mirelurks... there's no mirelurks left I killed all of them but it's not moving on with the quest?

Hello there, I keep dropping food in the water, and nothing happens, not even the first wave trigger.

no clue I did that mission without issue, I took the food from the first wave of mirelurks to continue it

After killing the first wave it should tell you something like "Throw more food in water". If the objective doesn't update then you have it very likely bugged.

You could advance the quest through "setstage xx00a992 stage" where 'xx' has to be changed to a number of that DLC in your load order and 'stage' has to be changed to a number corresponding with the stage in quest where you want to move to. However I do not know what the exact stage numbers of this quest are (and I guess they are not yet described anywhere) so you would have to experiment.

The thing is, the first wave doesnt even trigger. I drop food and nothing is happening.

Well the setstage command should still help you with that.

By the way just to be sure do you throwing that meat into water at the right place where the marker shows you? You need to just stand in water and drop it from your inventory, as soon as the food gets into the water it should trigger it.
Also what type of food do you use? I tried it with Yao Guai's meat and that worked for me

My issue here was the second wave. I kiled two mirelurks and there was a third that was never showing up. What worked for me is I ran off to the local house, just killed the enemies there, slept for 3 hours, came back, and as I arrived the last mirelurk spawned.

It's only certain meats that work.

Only "raw" meats work to initiate the event.

On the second wave, don't kill the mirelurks until all 3 have spawned. Going near the spawn point of the 3rd mirelurk while the first 2 are agro'd will cause it to spawn also.

Next problem: getting Teddy Wright to respond and give you the quest rewards. That's what I'm stuck on now. All he says is enjoy the feast, with no dialog options.

Second wave bug: I punched the ground where the marker for the third mirelurk was, and he popped up. It was a bit weird for a few seconds trying to hit him with VATS after that, but I managed to drag him to higher ground and kill him. That forwarded the quest properly.

Worked for me (even on PS4!). Thanks! Extra nice too since it was a legendary mirelurk too!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with TCL on pc works aswell. the third mirelurk is already spawned in, but he's not comming up. Just no-clip through him, go back up and disable TCL.
