I was very disappointed when they cut the "Car Crabs" out of Wasteland 2, so seeing a similar concept pop up in Fallout 4 was fantastic. I love the idea of a giant mutant crab using salvaged containers or abandoned vehicles as an improvised shell.
Just knowing about it doesn't lessen the surprise much lol :) Can't wait to play this in VR.
Explosives work very strangely, in comparison to normal weapon attacks. They seem to inflict damage to a target multiple times based on how many locations they hit. Because the Giant Hermit Crabs are designed with several hit locations all close to the ground, a single mine can hit five or six locations at once, meaning that the mine is doing five or six times normal damage.
With most targets, a mine will usually only hit two locations (the legs).
well seeing as my weapon doesn't rely on sneak or location (bleed applies as long as there's a hit that's why most Milurks hate me) I was just standing near it shooting at it's head. It was an albino one, I'm level 90 and very hard difficulty.
